"Enjoyed our stay here , place was very clean and tidy . Friendly staff. Good location . Clean pool and spa . I’m from the coast so I knew my way around town but it was good to see that they had a info folder in the room full of information on things you can do in the township and also had a list of local restaurants/food recommendations a lot of other useful information. Over the past couple of years I have noticed that alot of other motels no longer provide these but I find them very useful so I liked the fact that they provided this. Our room was the perfect size for us . I would definitely stay again "

"We had an upstairs room looking out over the bay. It is a strange arrangement with the bathroom room and small galley kitchen between the living room and bedroom and accessible from both. However it works just fine. The person on reception was very friendly and helpful. The motel is right on the beach and boardwalk and a 10 minute walk into town. Thoroughly recomment if staying in Gisborne."

"The apartment at Macrocapa Heights is an ideal location for a holiday break. Stan and Terresa are brilliant hosts, and they were able to give me details of the local history of the Bay together with places to visit in the immediate area. The accommodate is very comfortable and spacious and has all of the essential amenities for a relaxing break. The apartment overlooks Tokomaru Bay and has stunning view from the garden area. I would recommend Macrocapa Heights to anyone wishing to have a holiday break in an area and wants to enjoy the true scenery of the East Coast."
