"The hotel has big clean rooms with comfy beds. AC works well and double glazed windows keeps sound out. Close to two metro stations, pedestrian streets, restaurants and bars. "The hotel was about a 15 minute walk from two different subway lines and the main shopping area of the city. Getting from the airport was simple with a subway line direct from the airport to the city center. The hotel was clean with an ample selection of foods at their breakfast buffet. They tried with service but if you don’t speak Chinese it’s hard. "

"The hotel is for backpackers who usually stay at Hostel or 1 or 2 star hotels. This is not a hotel for business travelers - no desk. Plumbing issues - clogged drain in the sink. The room had a terrible odor - like there was some type of mold/flooding. The temperature control is limited to 22c. Toilet seats are strange. The common area is not really nice - also had a strange smell, and plastic bags of stuff strawn about behind the desk. The area is right in the middle of a busy market...

"Mingdu Hotel in Kumming, China did not fulfill the advertised free shuttle pick up from the airport. Their contention was that it was an advertisement by a third party, i.e. Hotel.com was not authorized to offer free airport shuttle in its offer.
