Cottage on Cabin Creek

The cottage is the perfect place for a couple's get away. The views of Cabin Creek are stunning. You will enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. You may also enjoy watching lots of water fowl, including ospreys which nest right outside the cottage. While staying at the cottage, you may use our kayaks or canoe and private pier. As you relax on the pier, you can watch the riverboats from Suicide Bridge Restaurant pass by and local watermen bringing in their catch. In the evening, you may roast marshmallows at the fire pit. The cottage is ready for company.

Amazing view to wake up to
I highly recommend staying here for a cozy couples weekend. It was absolutely beautiful and quiet. The host was so nice and made us feel welcome. I can’t wait to stay here again.

Paradise A Hidden Secret
Just beautiful. Janelle is a fantastic host. The house was super cute and clean. The property is something you don't want to miss. Osprey, purple martins, eagle, turtles. ducks, squirrels, kayak, canoe, firepit, sunrise and sunset on the pier, close restaurant and bar. Adequate kitchen supplies with all that was needed, small cooktop, refrigerator and freezer. Can't say enough.

I cannot say enough about our stay at The Cottage. The house was perfect for my Fiancé and I! The bed was super comfortable, linens provided, lounge chairs, kayaks. The kitchen was already stocked with water and coffee, and a bottle of wine to enjoy! They have a book and photos for you to see their adventure as they were renovating the house and property. Janelle was very quick to respond to all of my questions. You will not be disappointed when you book this beautiful property! Thank you once again Greg and Janelle!

The cottage was really cute. The views of the water were wonderful. Lots of Osprey doing their fishing and tending the nest right outside the cottage. Very clean and well maintained property. Very peaceful place to unwind but close to things to do and to things you need.

Wonderful relaxing cottage
This was the fourth stay at the cottage for my wife and I, and we enjoyed it as usual. The private pier is a great place to sit and enjoy the view while watching the osprey, eagles, and water birds, and the nearby Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is always a great place to walk, ride bikes, and view wildlife.

Cottage was a perfect couple's getaway. Immaculately clean, snug, great views, and above all, peace and quiet. The ospreys on the property were so entertaining! Janelle was a great host, and we had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, and a fridge full of water. I look forward to going back someday!

A slice of heaven
The cottage was immaculate and cozy, with breathtaking views of the water and wildlife! The loft and balcony were lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable! The welcoming wine was a nice surprise and delicious! My husband caught perch and catfish from the dock. The Suicide Bridge Restaurant (Around the corner) had freshly cooked seafood and the most awesome sunset we've seen in a long time! Can't wait to return!

If sunsets on the water is your thing, this is your place
This is our third time staying here because it is lovely. We took the canoe to dinner at suicide bridge restaurant, so much fun, best view for sunrise and sunset. The pier is an extended room, worth enjoying. We had great meals and shopping in Cambridge and Easton and always enjoy all the great hiking. I left my hat and Janelle sent it to me right away. Thank you, see you again!

Quiet Delight
What a beautiful cottage! It was perfect for two of us. If we weren’t kayaking or sitting on the pier, we could look out the windows and enjoy the view. The only noise we heard was from the boats going by, and even that was pleasant. If you’re looking to unplug, you’ve found the right place. Janelle was a lovely host - she provided a bottle of wine for us to enjoy on the pier and was very responsive!

Quiet cottage on the water
This is an ideal location for a quiet get away. The cottage was perfect for two people. Everything we needed was provided by Greg and Janelle; kayaks, chairs, ducks, wine... A very nicely decorated cottage with incredible views of the Choptank River. Enjoyed kayaking along the river, sitting on the pier and along the river shore, and sunrise greeting us in the loft. We will definitely come back.

This house and location was amazing! We had such a great time! We caught tons of fish and even caught crabs. If you are looking for a beautiful home on the water away from everyone this is the house. The property owner left us a bottle of wine that was amazing and so very nice of her. My husband and I got up one morning and drove to Ocean city which was only 1 hour away to visit the ocean and check out all the shops. It was nice to then come home to a quiet home. We will for sure go back.

Waterfront Escape
I booked this property as a extra long weekend trip for my Husband's birthday. I was looking for a place on the water and with access to fishing spots. The house itself has a dock we fished off of, and it’s close to other local fishing spots. The views from the house are great, there was even an Osprey family nesting right by the dock. It’s a perfect getway for 2 people. The house was clean and well stocked. Waking up with the sunrise over the water was amazing. There are a lot of windows, so if you are sensitive to light when sleeping, bring a sleep mask. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay again.

This cottage was the absolute perfect getaway for us. The host was so kind, accommodating and very responsive. The house is immaculate. Views are relaxing and beautiful. We were happy, comfortable, relaxed. What more can you ask for? We also loved the history of the house! We arrived by boat and while our weather wasn’t perfect, we still were able to explore the surrounding waterways and visit suicide bridge restaurant. Charming cottage in beautiful waterfront setting
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage very much. The cottage is cute and cozy and the views from every window are amazing. The Choptank River is so peaceful - it was perfect for kayaking We brought our own kayaks and it was so easy to launch them from the beach on the property. It was the best kayaking we have ever done. - water clean and calm, tree-lined shoreline. We enjoyed the fire pit and use of the grill too. It was relaxing sitting on both piers and watch the fish jump out of the water and the fishing boats pass by. The owner couldn't have been more accommodating and welcoming. She was always quick to respond to questions to make our stay enjoyable. We have recommended this property to friends and family, and plan to return ourselves. A great getaway for a couple :)

So peaceful and tranquil
We stayed for one night as a quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage is brand new, very clean, and the owners are more than accommodating. The property is a gem, tucked away on a private lane just steps off the water. The whole house is flooded with natural light and when you wake in the morning, you are facing the beautiful waterway. There’s a private dock to sit enjoy your coffee, a fire pit for roasting s’mores (they even provide firewood and toasting sticks!), and kayaks. The owner even brought us over a lighter a moments notice when the one we had wouldn’t work. She left a lovely bottle of wine for us to celebrate our anniversary. If you are looking for privacy and beautiful water views, this is the place for you!

Amazing private little house with great water views
We loved our weekend stay at this house: it is very clean and modern with amazing water views. We used the kayaks during the day and the fire pit at night, for which the owner kindly provided wood and fire start materials. The area around the house is very well maintained, nice green lawn is perfect for a picnic (bring your picnic blankets!), and the private pier is also very nice to watch sunsets. We came with our 1-year old baby and she loved many ducks that walk around in the lawn. We got very good seafood and crab cakes at the suicide bridge restaurant just 5 min drive away and ate at the house. The only thing that was missing was a table inside or outside where one could have meals comfortably, otherwise it is a really nice little secluded home for a romantic or little family getaway which we highly recommend! Thank you to the owners for being so hospitable and responsive!

Absolutely amazing
We went to Ocean City for vacation and we didn’t get to rent our full week because the place we always stay at was booked for the last night so we decided to try out staying near Suicide Bridge Restaurant for the weekend. This house we had the opportunity to rent was amazing. The views were so beautiful and we loved watching the boats on the water. Janelle was the best to work with, extremely friendly and helpful. She and Greg were so thoughtful to even have a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. I loved the pictures of the house before and after as well as the book they made to show the construction from start to finish. We loved that there were fishing poles available to fish off the docks, we caught so many fish! We would definitely stay here again and we really enjoyed our time. Thank you so so much Janelle and Greg!
