"Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a good size and set up for a family as we needed. We were disappointed that the spa was closed, an odd decision to close the spa at the weekend when travellers are most likely to want to use it. Breakfast was a little underwhelming but plenty to choose from. The cereal packets were quite a long way out of date. The traffic was quite loud from our room at the front of the hotel. A room at the back would be much better to be able to sleep through. Just...

"A one night birthday trip. Staff are welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Room comfortable if a little small. Room was very warm but solved by turning off the heat and opening the window. My only recommendation would be for the waiting staff to bring out the required knives for meals. Had soup and a roll with whipped butter but no knife to spread butter, also had steak again no steak knife. Both had to be requested. "Hotel was small and compact. Everything about it was great. The breakfast chef made the effort to get to know our breakfast order and was able to remember this throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was compact but contained everything we needed. The pub was lovely and welcoming."

"Nice B&B perfectly positioned across the road from the Harrogate conference centre if your trip is for a visit there. I’d visit again if coming to Harrogate. It lists itself as a 4* hotel and that is why I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars as it doesn’t have the facilities you expect of a hotel - staffed reception desk, bar, restaurant etc - but is a very pleasant B&B. The cooked breakfast - available as an add on £15 when I was there - was very good - freshly cooked, the poached eggs were perfect...
