"This is a 4-plus star hotel. Sure, it's simple and not your usual American hotel. But the owner showed us to our rooms, the rest of the staff was great, the room was clean and had THE BEST beds. Huge towels! We got cookie when we arrived and a fantastic breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel."

"If I could rate our stay 10000/10 I would. Staff friendliness and kindness went above and beyond. "When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. It was a very unfortunate situation. We are from the USA and found out upon arrival in England that our cell phones were not working properly so...
