"Essentially this is a room in a lovely resort on the coast of Maine. Location was excellent, amenities abound and were as described, staff was helpful and professional. But, I would not book again through this listing again. Host did not pay entire rate. I ended up paying 20% more out of pocket and spent too much of my stay trouble-shooting with the hotel receptionists/calling the host support line. Both hotel receptionists I worked with had other customers who experienced the same as me when...

"I will never go back there. I have rented many times thru VRBO for longer vacations and never had a problem. I decided to go thru VRBO to rent a 2 night stay in Maine and paid top dollar. There was so many add on charges for a room at $149. dollars, that this budget motel ended up costing a little over $630. dollars for the 2 night stay."

"Hands down - best place to stay in Boothbay Harbor. It's quiet and quaint; right on the water. Love that they had free kayaks for guests to use. Wish we could've stayed longer! "

"We had a wonderful relaxing stay. The view was beautiful with ducks and geese swimming in the cove. We also saw a crane, an eagle, and one night we saw 3 deer. The owners were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. There were homemade blueberry muffins when we arrived which were delicious! We are hoping to return in the spring."
