In the room the bed was big and comfortable the room was clean and storage adequate. The bathroom was mostly clean though could do with updating. The extractor fan was terrible and needs to be replaced (it made us laugh it was so loud) the shower within the bath was okay but the lighting could be brighter for shaving and make up. "The Orange Tree has benefited from an extensive upgrade and refurbishment and the place exudes an air of nothing spared quality. We had an upstairs annex room and whilst the room itself was clean and well appointed, it was rather cramped and lacked any windows and therefore the option of nighttime ventilation - not so good in hot weather. Food quality was good and menu choice also good, although service was a little slow at times, even though the restaurant was not particularly busy."

"Our stay was very good. Food and staff were lovely. and very helpful despite being short staffed. No hot water in bathroom basin during our stay. Last day no water for coffee at breakfast. Decided to use coffee machine in our room but it did not work! Apart from those issues we enjoyed our stay and thought the refurb was an improvement"
