The property was beautiful in photos and from the outside, but was not well kept inside. Upon arrival we found dirt and hair on the sheets and pillow of the master bed, and the bathroom floors had not been swept. The shower curtains were moldly and unclean. All fixable and mild we thought. I Let the owner know and he offered to send the cleaning crew but we declined and fixed it ourself. The kitchen had very little supplies to cook with, and again was not very clean. All the inside of the drawers were dirty, and one drawer with cooking utensils also included dog flea medication stored with it.
Not ideal, but we were happy to have a place all 13 of us could stay. However, on the 2nd night we stayed up late and discovered cockroaches coming out in the kitchen. The owner responded promptly and sent pest control out the next morning. We had hoped it was a small isolated issue, but it was not. Pest control came out on the 3rd and 4th days, and then it became obvious that the entire place was infested. We saw adult cockroaches in the kitchen, bathrooms, dining room, bedrooms, pantry, and on the walls in the hallway. We contacted the host and ended our stay there several days early. We were not compensated for our nights missed.
