Pros: This home is in a good location and proximity of The Four Corners, Durango, hiking, National Parks, Silverton, etc. It was easy to get to. The owner was quick to respond and was accommodating with requests for basic amenities that were missing from the home. We appreciated her quick attention. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen cabinets and countertops have been nicely updated as well as new carpet upstairs.
Cons: The house was not very clean upon arrival. Our feet and socks got dirty when walking on the hardwood floor. We requested a mop so we could clean. We received a swifter mop with two almost completely empty containers of solution and a handful of disposable mop pads. The pads were literally black when I mopped the floor. The bathroom vents were heavy with dust and would fly into the shower when we showered. There was only one television in the entire house. We had eight adults. No air conditioning. As Midwesterners, we are used to humidity, but we don't like to sleep in it. Fans were in the house, but it was extremely uncomfortable even with the windows open at night. Toaster & coffee pot defective. Garbage disposal didn't work. Bar stools worn out, broken trim and not as comfortable as it should have been for the price we paid. Kitchen was not well stocked. Upon arrival, no bedding for hide-a-bed and not enough towels, no dish towels, no cleaning supplies. As a Travel Agent, I was embarrassed as I am the one who booked this for the group.
