"On entering the hotel you immediately feel you have entered into a place of style and grandeur. Nothing is too much trouble from the staff. Loved the touch of the doorman being dressed in Pinky Blinders attire who gave a lovely welcome! Pleased to see a vegan option in the restaurant which was very tasty and the waitress service was attentive and professional. The design of the Spa was wonderful, creating a relaxing mood and ambiance with its lighting and lit pool. Good value also at £20 per person for 2 hours. Our superior bedroom was massive and the original bricked ceiling and photos on the wall added to the whole experience. The bathroom was large and impressive with its double sink, with its walk in shower and Victoria style bath but on closer inspection the shower tiles meeting the shower tray could have done with a more thorough clean. The bathroom fan was very loud. It’s a 30 minute walk into the city centre and nothing else nearby so be prepared to have to walk or Uber. It does have a large car park though. "
