"Excellent value for money. We stayed over to break up a longer journey north. Conveniently located just off the main route. We enjoyed the riverside walk with access close to the hotel. The evening meal was good and we particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfast the following morning. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Special thanks to the staff who were all very pleasant and friendly.Will definitely stay again when travelling this way."

"There's a bus stop outside with regular service to the centre. The rooms are big enough for a long weekend break with standard facilities. They offer food and drink which is very nice "

"Clean presentable and nice welcoming staff. For info, nearest station is Eskbank and whilst route planners say 20 minutes walk that is via a public footpath that is unlit, the "long way" is nearer 40 minutes, any which way the station has a large car park. "

"This is an inn with rooms as opposed to a hotel. Very centrally located on The Royal Mile. The staff were excellent, rooms large and clean. "

"The hotel is ready for a cosmetic overhaul and consequently looks a little tired’’ That said the food was very good but service from all members of staff was fantastc. They were all extremely polite considerate and extremely friendly "

"Central location, nice welcome from reception on arrival, clean and reasonable price but you get what you pay for as uncomfortable bed, only 2 lightbulbs in room working and no curtains! "
