Set right by the beach in Broughty Ferry, Castle Beach is a 3 storey Victorian villa of immense character. ‘The Ferry’ is on the East Coast of Scotland, on the outskirts of Dundee. It is a historic fishing village with numerous well established restaurants, shops and bars. In the days when Dundee was famous for jute, Broughty Ferry housed the millionaire barons and still has a reputation today for being the wealthy part of the city.
Broughty Ferry esplanade is a lovely walk. Along the beachfront you will find a Broughty castle to explore as well as several parks/green spaces and a nature reserve. Water sports are popular too with lessons available. There are plenty of spots to watch the dolphins and a boat trip if you’d like to get closer.
The house itself sits facing one of the tree filled public gardens with stunning views across the North Sea to Fife.
Castle Terrace is a 5 minute stroll to the centre of The Ferry and a 15 second saunter to the sandy beach. It has plenty of period features with ornate cornicing in the main open plan family room and in one of the two master bedrooms. There is a sweeping staircase that turns from the ground floor right up to the attic conversion which is now a huge bedroom with it’s own ensuite bathroom. The views from the upper level are remarkable. One one side they scan across the beach. On the other they look above the rooftops of the village.
