Beautiful getaway on a private lake!

Just steps from a private spring fed lake is this beautiful 6 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with 3 levels of living space! This property sits on 200 acres of wooded land and approximately 15 acres of private lake with only one other cabin (owned by the same owner. Check out listing VRBO # 1925815) This house has something for everyone on your list and is perfect for your secluded getaway. Bring your friends because this house hosts 16 people! Spend your time hiking through the woods, bird watching, fishing, or swimming in the pristine waters. You will love to unwind in the three seasons room or the massive great room with large windows featuring panoramic views of the sparkling lake, woods, and abundance of wildlife. At night enjoy stargazing, watching for northern lights, shooting stars, and fireflies while you sit by the campfire. Afterwards, play ping pong, many of the games provided, or do some cooking in either one of the two kitchens. If you prefer to explore outside of the 200 acres, the area is known for some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state. This area also has many great golf courses. Or bring your ATVs and follow the designated ATV trails though out the county. Our driveway is adjacent to the trails. Also close by there is zip lining, white water adventures, paddle boarding and horseback riding. Whatever you are into, we know you will be able to find it here. We are only a short drive to upper Michigan and the larger city Iron Mountain.

A great family getaway

Beautiful Cabin on the Lake
Loved staying at this property. Very private and quiet and more than enough space for our group of 11. Pretty much had the lake to our selves, we loved using the kayaks, paddle boat and fishing everyday. Cabin was completely stocked with everything we needed and more, would definitely stay here again.

We had ages raging from 7-72. All had a great time and enjoyed our family time. The lake is beautiful, plenty of fish, easy to access. Would come back again. Very well stocked as far as kitchen and toys and games.

Perfect Family Getaway
This is our family's third year at this property and to us, it's perfection! The house is spacious with gorgeous lake views, super clean, and everything we need in terms of cooking/grilling supplies, starter supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, and sink soaps, and toys and games for indoors and out. Linda and Ed really have thought of everything! The private lake is wonderful too, with shallow access for the kids to play in and explore while excellent for fishing, kayaking, and bird watching. We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful property. Very peaceful. Plenty of room for everybody. Kids enjoyed the lake and fishing. The ATV trails were also a hit. Lost power due to a storm but Both Linda and the property manager responded to my calls.

One of a Kind
It truly is a one of a kind property. If you are seeking a peaceful, tranquil location away from any outside noise then this is the place to stay. There is plenty of room to allow everyone to have their own privacy and also plenty of room for everyone to gather together for meals and visiting. The private setting is worth the price.

Great Family Getaway
We had a great time and there was plenty to keep us busy, even with the rain. The property has lots more than is listed. There are yard games, board games and the kitchen has much more than what is listed. We enjoyed the lake every day The kayaks got a lot of use and the fishing was great! Thanks. We will be back again!

Beautiful, relaxing vacation spot
This house is absolutely stunning! It is very clean, and very well stocked from everything you would need in the kitchen to hand soap dispensers and towels in the bathroom, plus detergent in the laundry room, and games in the game cabinet. And when the weather is nice, there is so much to do on the lake with the provided small pontoon boat, paddle boat and kayaks, plus the floating raft that is just a short swim away. And if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a few deer across the lake. It is a beautiful place, very secluded and an awesome getaway.

Nature-filled private setting!
Our whole family, including our four kids, spouses, and grandkids had the best vacation ever! We had the lake to ourselves, used the boats and kayaks and loved swimming to the rafting and jumping off several times a day. Linda and Ed’s home is spacious, clean, and a real natural history museum. Linda got back to me right away when I had questions, and she and the property manager and housekeeper were all so kind and gracious. If I could, I’d give this vacation a 10-star rating rather than 5 stars. Thank you.

The Perfect Family Vacation
We were 4 generations, from 4 to 96 years old. The was accessibility to all needed for all. Even the 88 year old was able to get on the pontoon boat and fish. The 13 acre lake is private and so you never see anyone else. The beach was safe for the little kids, the house has all the amenities of home, being out in the woods the wifi is slow enough to keep you from working but good enough to get information needed. If you want solitude and great family times around the meal table, playing games, sitting around the campfire and watching the kids play in the water on a lake that is 90% visible from the deck - this is the place.

Wonderful Family Escape at a Beautiful Secluded Cabin!
My family (including our 2 young children, 3 years and 1) had a wonderful stay at your beautiful cabin! You can tell how much love and care your family put into making it a warm and inviting place to stay! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Games, books and Disney for the kids and even a high chair for my daughter. The house was so clean (and I am very observant)! The scenery was gorgeous. It was such a great escape to be away from the city on our own private lake. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, hiking to the local waterfalls and even a trip to a wonderful apple orchard. Thank you for making our getaway so special!

Wonderful Family Vacation
This was our first 3 generation family vacation together, and it couldn’t have been more wonderful. Linda and Ed were wonderful hosts, and we’re so grateful that they shared their beautiful home and location with us. The home was beautiful, clean, comfortable and well supplied. All ages loved it and all the available activities...kayaking, using the paddle boat, swimming, catching and releasing frogs and fish,, ping pong tournaments, watching the hummingbirds, playing games, pontoon rides, campfires with s’mores, having a contest to find the sunken boat, and more. As nature lovers, and my having a hobby of nature photography, we just loved listening to the sounds of nature, and taking pictures of the many moods of the lake, the wildlife, and plants. Our family will always remember and treasure the fun and relaxing time we had here.

Fantastic!
The house was big enough for all 16 of us and easily more. The lake wasn't huge but plenty big enough for kayaking and swimming, Even caught some nice bass!! Linda was great to work with and so very nice. The home was stocked with all that we needed. The kids loved catching frogs on the shore. We all loved sitting on the porch just looking at the lake, it was so peaceful. We saw lots of deer and even heard wolves howling while sitting around the campfire! If you have a chance, visit all of the falls in the area, twelve foot falls has a great place to roll up your pants and play in the water! The memories created here will be cherished forever and we will definitely be coming back!!

This property was fantastic. Beyond our expectations. So beautiful and plenty of room for all. Peace, solitude, privacy. Had the lake to ourselves with pontoon, dive platform, kayaks all included. Owners were always available. Everything you need is provided. Very clean, no cobwebs (spiders), no dust. Beds were nice. Master king size bed was a sleep number bed. No city lights and watched a meteor shower. Lake is very clean and clear. This was a five star cabin! We felt pampered and did not sacrifice comfort. Just bring your clothes and food!

Perfect -- 5 Stars in every category
The common areas of the house itself are spacious, the bedrooms are large, and the kitchen has everything you need. The pebble beach at the waterfront extends well into the water, providing endless entertainment for the kids (frog catching, fish watching, jumping off the swim platform, etc.) The lake is spring fed, so the water is clear and our kids enjoyed snorkeling. We spent countless hours on our "floaties" just watching the clouds drift by. We caught fish every day (catch and release only) and made good use of the two kayaks and the pontoon boat with electric trolling motor. Communication with Linda was easy, straight forward, and prompt. In short, she really cares about her guests. This is the second time our family has rented this property, and we will be renting again next year. This property can't be beat!

I Wish I Could Keep It a Secret
Our family has rented lake homes in Wisconsin annually for the past 18 years. This one tops them all. The living room, kitchen, and sun porch are even larger than they look in the pictures and the bedrooms are spacious as well. Our kids spent hours in the basement playing ping pong or congregating around the table. The second refrigerator in the basement is also a plus for larger families. The lawn slopes nicely down to the dock where the the first six to ten feet of lake bottom is layered with small pebbles, making it easy to get in and out of the water (which is clear and inviting). Don't underestimate the value of the small pontoon boat. In addition to fishing, everyone in our group loved to tour the lake. It is powered by an electric trolling motor, so even the kids can operate it safely. The owners provided extra folding chairs, a folding table, life jackets, a paddle boat, a rowboat, kayaks......the list goes on and on. The property is impeccably clean and the owner is absolutely great to work with. To sum it all up: You're going to love it!!!

Little Heaven on Earth
The place is amazing. We spent 6 nights at this beautiful cabin and enjoyed the private lake. The surroundings and the place felt like out of a fairy-tale. You find peace, but most importantly this little heaven on Earth helps you disconnect from the craziness of the big city. Linda, the owner is amazingly kind person. She was always available and patient to pre-answer all the questions we had, which helped us properly prepare and plan for our stay. The cabin is well stocked, which makes it so easy to just "move in". Cindy, the property manager reached out to us the next day and so did Linda, to ensure we have settled in and check if we need anything. Ross, the other property manager stopped by as well, to say "Hi". There is another smaller cabin located at the same lake, also owned by Linda and her family and there were other guests staying there, however due to how far apart the two properties are, there was no disturbance. My little one loved the lake, the water is crystal clear and calm, which made it possible for people every age to equally enjoy. I am afraid of water myself and usually do not go in past knee high, however I spent a good amount of time kayaking on the lake and really enjoyed it! We created a ton of long lasting memories and would love to go back! Thank you, Linda! PS: Bring your own beach umbrella or canopy, if you are planning to stay there during the hot summer months

Amazing!
We have rented cottages in northern WI for the past 7 summers. We have stayed at some really great places, but have always bounced to a new one for the following summer....just trying to find the perfect fit for our family. This summer, we found it at Linda & Ed's beautiful lake house. We have already rebooked for next summer. Beyond a house suitable for our family (fluctuating between 10->16 people throughout the week), we were also looking for a waterfront that would be suitable for smaller children (2, 4, 5 6 year old). Both the house and waterfront were beyond our expectations. The pictures give you a good sense, but let me tell you...in person....completely amazing! The house has everything and anything you may need! Each time I would ask "I wonder if they have xxxx", it would be found one minute later. Very clean, very spacious and very comfortable. The waterfront provided endless entertainment for the kids, The gradual pebble slope into the spring fed/clear water was excellent for the littlest. Frog catching, swimming, boating, fishing, they just had such an exciting time. We are a paddling family, and having a calm/wake free body of water was so nice. Linda, Ed and their team are so kind and clearly communicate everything you need to know! We created so many memories! Both the adults and kids will remember these times forever. Thanks for sharing your lake house with us!
