"Avallon France hotel of Citotel Avallon Vauban is a good place to enjoy peaceful mind and smell fresh air next to the hotel! Bed and towel all clean replace in time! Nice owner vauban help make trip convenient and feel warm liked at home! "

"I stayed one night with 2 friends in a triple room - but we were told at the time of booking that we could be provided with 3 single beds. Turned out not to be the case as our room had a double and a single bed and it was not possible to get 3 single beds. We survived that for one night - but cannot accept to share a bed with a double duvet - so asked reception for an extra duvet. The receptionist tried her best but was only able to provide an extra blanket and a sheet - so not ideal. The highlight for us was no doubt the restaurant. They had a very interesting menu and with some delicious food. The salmon starter I had is one of the best starters I have ever tasted in my life - so a big compliment to the chef. The place also had a nice swimming pool but unfortunately we were there on a rainy day - so didn't get to use it. "

"It was VERY basic and like a motel from a bad film. I didn’t want to walk on the brown carpet in bare feet just in case. "

"A nice location in Vezelay France. Hotel staff is friendly and on top of things. Room seems a little dated but clean."

"I suspect that it’s not tourist season yet and there’s no reason to open up the town-it’s still cool and rainy. Not much going on but really fine for our needs. Hotel is clean and modest. Staff is excellent. "

"Good small basic room for 1 night on the way to Alpes. Easy late check in, room was clean, water hot. Car park space. "
