"We have stayed for almost a week before taking a short break and planning to return for another week. The hospitality is what sets Taj Bengal apart from the rest of the innumerable 5 star hotels. Everyone is eager to please, immensely respectful and welcoming. The concierge Mr. Sanjib Ghosh has done the impossible of even getting me a premium ticket for an international India – England T20, cricket match against all odds. The night manager Mr. Tanmoy was able to extend my stay for 2 additional nights (in a full hotel!), the sous chef Kavita was attentive to everyone and the morning buffet breakfast was so enjoyable. The main restaurant Sonargaon is par excellence in ambience, decor and food, albeit a bit expensive. This is truly one of the best Bengali restaurant I have ever been to. We didn’t use the gym or the spa. But again, what sets the Taj apart is the hospitality which money cannot buy in America."
