Hostel in Dusseldorf
I didn't realize I was booking a hostel so was a bit skeptical when we arrived as I had never stayed in one before. We were a group of 4 women and they put us in a room with four bunk beds. I was very pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the hostel which was about 12 miles from the Dusseldorf airport. The staff was very nice and helpful. The beds were fine but the mattresses were a bit thin although comfortable. I thought the price was very fair.

Dorms had their own shower and restroom - all very clean. Nicely setup dining area and breakfast buffet.

Hotel is very clean. The hotel isn't within walking distance of a train station so that's an issue. There is however a bus stop 5 mins away. There aren't any nearby shops as well. The area is breathtaking and there is a Sportpark close by (if you're into that kind of thing) Complaint: beds aren't made, the ladder for the bunk beds are very slippery (I'd be surprised to hear no accident has occurred on those rungs) and check out is way too early (9:30am) I however will stay there again if I'm in Duisburg.

Few tips about Hostel vs Hotel
Since this is hostel, towels and soap,shampoo are not provided. You can "rent" towels for duration of your stay for $Euro 1.5 so cost is very reasonable. I was provided with mini shampoo/soap bottle too but it maybe a good idea to bring it with you. Stay included breakfast which was pretty good. No warm dishes but buns, bread, cheese, cold cuts, youghurt, etc. Much better than say Continental breakfast in US. This place has sauna, pool and other facilities. Also mini-bar downstairs. Very good experience for the price.

Ich hatte leider andere Vorstellungen einer Jugendherberge und war von dem Komfort dieses "Hostels" ziemlich erschlagen. Als bescheidene Tourenradfahrerin und langjährigem DJH-Mitglied hätte mir ein wesentlich einfacheres Zimmer zu einem niedrigerem Preis besser gestanden... Nun ja, ich habe den Komfort genossen, frage mich nur wo das hinführen soll und ob das noch dem Auftrag einer DJH gerecht wird. Aber da habe ich wohl auch beim Buchen nicht so genau hingeguckt... Bei einer Jugendherberge hat man alles was mann/frau braucht: sie liegt i.d.R. immer inder Nähe des Veranstaltungsortes, ist preisgünstig und bietet alle Inhalte für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Lediglich das kein WLAN für Tagesgäste zur Verfügung stand, schmälert die Vorzüge des Hauses.

très mauvais souvenir chambre dégueulasse le lit n'est même pas fait des petits draps, même le coussin il n'est pas mis dans son oreiller la douche dégueulasse j'ai payé la chambre très cher et pour finir c'était une chambre à 4 personnes il y a des gens qui sont venus qui ont dormi dans la même chambre ils renfles j'étais dégoûté je le ferai plus jamais même pas de serviette!!!!
