National Parks trip
Overall we were very satisfied with the comfort and upkeep of the property. It was a pleasure to return “home” every day. We used the kitchen extensively and everything functioned well. Might I suggest that the owner purchase a BeiElite water filter unit for onsite potable water.

Great stay.
Just as advertised. Equidistant between Zion and Bryce. Would help to have a four wheel drive since all road access to the property is unpaved.

Cabin was great, but…
The cabin itself was great. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to cook, the beds were great, there was hot water, and the WiFi worked well. However…the heat was broken; the first night we were there was 25 degrees. Luckily the fireplace did a great job keeping us warm. The “guest contact” (property manager) didn’t answer our return my calls. It wasn’t until I text them with “911” that she responded. Her response was “here’s the owners number”. I don’t see the point of the manager. The owner was great and did everything they could to get the heat back on, but it needed a post not available on the weekends. All in all we did like the cabin and love Duck Creek. Was a little let down no monetary reimbursement was offered, but it is what it is. We were about $100 in on firewood and other fire starting supplies for the weekend. Had the heat not been broken in the first cold weekend of the season, this would have been an easy 5 stars.

wonderful vacation spot
We had a slight problem finding the home but were able to contact someone who got back to us right away for all the small questions we had throughout our stay. The home was clean, enough towels for all of us and all of the kitchenware we needed. The large fireplace was great at night where the kids could roast marshmallows and hotdogs. The neighbor (Chris) was extremely nice and helpful. We saw a lot of deer, and chipmunks and the kids had a really nice time. We plan on going back again next year.

It was Mid
The cabin was dirty upon arrival-beds were unmade, towels were all used, dirty socks were inside the couch bed, dirt everywhere. When I let them know that I had to wash our towels & clean our own beds, they apologized. And that was it. Never heard from them again. After the exorbitant cleaning fees, we definitely won’t be doing that again. Otherwise, it was fine. We love Duck creek and spend most of our time outside anyway. I just think for the price of the cabin, it should have been clean & had some things stocked (like toilet paper, paper towels or hand towels, etc).

Just beautiful!
This was perfect. The cabin is beautiful, sat right in the middle of a forest setting. Very private. Only issue was that it was not ready when we arrived at the 4 PM check in time. Had to wait a whole hour.

Spectacular Mountain Cabin
We absolutely loved this beautiful home. It's in a gorgeous setting and the home had everything we needed. The kitchen is really well stocked with a great selection of cooking supplies. If you visit in May like we did, be aware that the steep mountain roads can be very muddy. The roads were not graded and are very washed out and rough. We didn't realize until we got there that the roads are not maintained from November to May. There are some groceries available in Duck Creek Village, but at convenience store prices. The nearest full grocery store is 32 miles away in Cedar City so stock up on groceries on your way. Other than the roads in Duck Creek Village, we really enjoyed our stay.

Outdoor getaway
Took an outdoor womens group here for adventure. Bunk beds did not feel safe to sleep in so pulled mattress to floor. No air matress. Trash left behind. Dirty washcloths on the floor. Only a small amount of toliet paper left with no refill available. No hand towel in kitchen. Sent email to property person listed and didn't hear back. Location and space were good

Weekend Trip
The cabin was cute and overall clean. The issue were more that things were broken and snow was not cleared good at stairs and front porch and there was no shovel which should be a staple in this area. Dishes and pans were greasy, had to wash everything before we used it. They advertised a fire pit but it was not cleared out to use. They say they charge if the BBQ is left dirty and the prior guests did not burn off or clean so we had to. Had to clear a path in the porch to even get to it and was not easy with no shovel. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was very cramped and not very comfortable and the pillow cases were like sand paper. Was ok but not as great as the pictures. Directions were great so ease of getting and finding it.

Cute Cabin in the hills of Duck Creek - a place to play in the Snow
Our family of 8 stayed here for 3 nights over Presidents Day weekend. The cabin was perfect for the kids to play in the abundant snow all weekend. The beds were great. My only complaint was we couldn’t get the fireplace inside to really heat up the house properly - we made it work but it didn’t seem to get enough oxygen despite us adjusting the vent multiple times. Has a dishwasher and washer/dryer which is super helpful with our big family and kids went snow clothes. Didn’t really get to fully enjoy the decks but can see how these would be great during non-winter months. One of the bedrooms is really a loft - the main bedroom - so not a ton of privacy if that’s what you’re looking for. Having two bathrooms was also great for our big crew. Bring extra garbage bags as you have to take all your garbage and recycling with you when you leave - we ran out so that was challenging to get everything together to take down the hill to the dumpsters. Make sure you have 4WD during the winter. Chains are a requirement if you don’t but honestly, they’re a huge pain. Just rent a 4WD car and save yourself the trouble of battling crappy snow chains. There were a couple of cute restaurants down the hill too. And Brian Head is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away - you have to drive around during the winter but it’s an easy drive. Super dark coming up the pass at night so if you’re going for the first time, try to get there before dark. I would absolute take my family back for another weekend in the woods. So good to get away and relax.

Above average conditions but difficult to get to
The house is nice, but the pictures make it look much less rustic than it is. The location would have been much easier to get to had there not been road construction/closure on the main road accessing the community. I understand this will be a temporary inconvenience for renters, but when you cannot find the house because this isn't properly communicated by the management company, it's a little frustrating. It's also difficult when you have to haul all of your garbage for a couple miles to the community dumpster. The location is quiet and remote, which is a good thing, but understand that other than the local restaurants that close early or may not be open on certain nights, the nearest restaurants and grocery stores are in Cedar City, which is about a 40 minute drive away, so plan for that when booking in Duck Creek Village. In the long run, it's not a bad spot for visiting Zion or Bryce or 4 wheeling on local trails.

Great cabin - a little cold in May
Great cabin! We all loved the vibrant decorations. Utah in May was colder than anticipated (there was still a pile of snow in the backyard). We liked the location of the cabin between Bryce and Zion. We would stay here again....but at a warmer time of year!
