We didn’t really know what to expect and we left with the same impression. The area was beautiful, but unfortunately they were completely reconstructing the roadway into the resort. We arrived at 8pm to check in and found that we must have been “after hours”. We did get a check in instruction sheet that was left for us in the lobby and accessing the room was easy. We thought the office was open until 10.
The room was comfortable…somewhat dated, but comfortable. The WI-FI was terrible, even with multiple access points.
We were rained in so we tried the Direct TV - almost none of the channels were available to watch. We were excited that the game room had air hockey, ping pong and foosball, but they were no ping pong balls or foosballs and the air hockey table didn’t work well at all.
We were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub the first night and it was great.
Overall, we didn’t pay much for the room so this is a “you get what you pay for” scenario. We completely understand that we hit the renovation/off-season, but the combination of construction, no Wi-Fi, no TV and the lack of people at the front desk made this a very strange experience.
