Centrally located. Since I was not traveling outside of Dublin this was a good spot. The rate through Expedia was very good. I would have stayed longer, but the rate almost tripled for the weekend and wouldn't pay that much.
Firstly, I would like to thank the lady who gave us an upgraded room as it was our wedding anniversary. A nice touch, however, the bed was actually two mattresses joined together; therefore you could feel the joint whilst trying to sleep. To avoid discomfort I had to lay apart from my wife, which did not impress her as she likes to be cuddled in bed.
The lighting in the room was not ideal either. Very squeaky floor boards too.
Lastly, one morning when we entered the dining room for breakfast two gentlemen were engaged in a mobile phone conversation with the loud speaker on. One of the men was quite vocal. I have absolutely no inclination in wishing to listen to anyones conversation. I find it very rude and annoying. All my wife and I wanted to do was sit and enjoy a peaceful breakfast. We asked to move seats so the waitress moved us to another table, but we could still hear those men. To add insult to injury, there was another man on his mobile phone speaking in some foreign language. If people have to take a call then I suggest they do it elsewhere.
stay was for 1 night to attend a concert at close by venue.hotel was lovely great big room with bath and small veranda.loved it

Dr Hook
Very central location with lots of places within walking distance . I think hotel should explain better where to park car ,even an e mail with directions for car drivers .
Such a friendly hotel with great staff. We had problems with noise at night as we were overlooking the Czech Inn, and were able to request change of room with no problem. ( I would suggest ear plugs for rooms overlooking the busy street). Breakfast was delicious and staff attentive. The hotel is situated in a very convenient part of town, busses close by, Temple Bar down the road. Good restaurants close by. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel right on the edge of Temple Bar
Very good location, a little noisy at night as the hotel has its own bar/night club but that was ok as earlier drinking helped combat this. we had a beautiful view of the air con units but as we weren't staying in the room that much it didn't matter and someone has to get the rubbish rooms now and again. Hotel was clean and staff were great, room could do with a little TLC. Breakfast was as expected and would defo stay in again.

In the Centre of Dublin
The Paramount is an excellent hotel for location. That is its strength. But the bed was worn out and the location makes it very noisy at all times of the night. The hotel offers good value for the location and allows you to walk easily to the main areas of Dublin.

Prepare for no sleep
Don’t think I’ll stay here again. Although the staff was amazing, the room left little to be desired. The bed was two twins pushed together, which would have been fine but whatever they use to hold them together left a huge lump in the middle of the bed. The room was also really cold. And the worst was the noise - there was essentially a party outside my window until 4:00am.

Good hotel
The hotel was clean. Right in the Temple Bar area. Walking distance to EVERYTHING in Dublin. Bus stop less than 2 minutes away. The only problem is that this hotel has a club downstairs. I was on the 2nd floor so I could hear it was really loud in my room. If you're in Ireland to drink and party this hotel is in the perfect spot. It's a great price for what you get. It's an older hotel but it has everything you need. The club was only going Friday and Saturday so 2 nights with some lost zzz's didn't hurt me one bit. I could see it being a problem for someone who absolutely has to get good sleep. I enjoyed my stay there. So many places to eat and drink at close by. I loved it. My only real complaint... they could use some new mattresses. The one I was on was pretty thin and you could feel the springs. After 9 days that was a little painful. My room was cleaned every day while I was out. Overall it was a good stay.
Horrible experience at this Hotel. No customer service whatsoever. Extremely small rooms. No sound barrier, internet never worked properly, etc. Would never stay here again or recommend it to anybody else.

Good value hotel in need of tlc Good location
The hotel rooms are rather tired and poorly lit. the décor was dark so it was hard to read at night. Our bedroom was in need of basic maintenance such as the lack of plug in the basin and a faulty razor point. The food at breakfast was good quality but poorly cooked. It was prepared in advance so the bacon etc was so hard. However the staff were friendly and helpful but needed some basic training. The location was great though it could be noisy, I suspect at weekends. However the price paid represented good value for money. Ask for room on the top floors
