nice little student accommodation
it is a very nice little spot for a weekend in town. i leaved in Dublin for 6 years before moving to Limerick, so i know the town well enough. i've stayed in numerous 5 star hotels during business trip and i think they are very much over rated. sometimes i just need a comfortable bed. this "hotel" feels much like a student accommodation. reminds me of the student years. it has all the basic setups, bed, small tv, desk and shower. the room is clean enough. for the price it is very worth it. the hotel is right beside shopping center and many restaurants, within walking distance to city center. all in all i had a nice stay and will stay here again next time i'm in town.

Prison
This place was like a prison you had to get through 3 doors just to get to your room. The room walls havnt even been plastered and theyve just painted the breeze blocks. The tv was smaller than what ud get in a prison & the bed was rock hard. When we were walking up the stairs it smelled like pee aswell.Id say stay away.

basic but exceedingly convenient
Since this is Students' accommodation in term time, there was little to surprise. The room was as expected: a bed, shelves, desk, TV, shower and loo - plain but clean. The mattress was very comfy! Checking in / out, was quick and efficient. We never found the advertised "Tea and coffee in reception at any time of day" but not to worry; nor did we try the breakfast since we went to Bewleys (a great choice!). We booked this hostel for it's location and price, not luxury and these two were spot-on. As first time visitors to Dublin for a very brief stay, being able to walk around the city was what we wanted to do...we were straight into shopping area and very short walk from Temple Bar and Georgian area round St. Stephen's Green. Expected city noise at night, prob better with windows closed but it was hot and anyway we were too tired to notice for long!

A Hidden Gem
This hotel is centrally located in Dublin--very close to the Gaeity Theatre, Grafton St., St. Stephen's Green, Trinity College, etc. and not too far from Temple Bar, but not too close that you will have to put up with lots of late night noise. It's student accommodations and the rooms are small and basic (nothing fancy) but they are clean and have everything you would need (towels, soap, tv with 5 or 6 channels, & housekeeping). They will also provide Irish breakfast for a charge, though it's probably not worth the price. The staff were helpful and friendly and they will store your bag in a room for you after check-out if you need (no charge). I loved the location and price of Mercer Court so much that I returned a second time.

Not bad
The location is great but the hotel needs renovations, it's not bad for a place to "just sleep".

Excellent Value for Money
Centrally located 2 minutes walk form Grafton Street and St Stephen's Green. Typical student accommodation, but clean and tidy and staff very friendly. Possible to leave luggage after check out for a few hours. Very good value for money in Dublin, which is a very expensive city

Wouldn't Use Again
I chose this hotel because of its price and its location to St. Stephen's Green. Although I knew that it was used as student accommadation during term time, the size and condition of the room was better than expected. However, the cable did not work on the first night nor the last night of my stay. And I had continual problems with the shower in my room (the handle was hard to close -- had the maintenance man up there twice to try and fix it, didn't do much either time). The people working at the frontdesk were rude and unpleasant to deal with. At the time of my stay, the accommadation was ungoing maintenance work (there was carpet rolls in front of my door at one point and when I enquired as to when they would be moved, the front desk clerk got an attitude and didn't seem to see a problem with them being there). Also the photos lie on the website, the sitting area that is shown (the coffee table and chairs do not exist) nor did I receive the complimentary tea or coffee on arrival as advertised. Other than its location, I would not stay at this place again, the price was not worth the trouble I went through with the staff.

Horrible
It took us over an hour and a half to check into the Mercer Court and another 20 mins to find our room as it had not been explained. This is basically university halls of residence that is hired out for the summer, which would have been fine with us if it had been advertised in that way. Our room was dirty, the toilet didnt flush and the light didnt work. Its only redeeming feature was the bed was comfortable. We would have demanded our money back if we hadnt only booked for one night.

Worst place Ever
I am very suprised this place is on Expedia. The service was terrible, rude and so unprofessional. The room was horrible, the window never closed and was so drab. I would reconsider using Expedia again based on this service.
