I was chaperoning a group of students and we were there one night. This was close to the hostel the students were at so it was convenient and reasonably priced, but barely had better amenities than the hostel. The shower had terrible water pressure and you had to hold the button on the toilet for multiple seconds to get it to flush completely. It got the job done and the staff was very friendly, but I would definitely not have wanted to stay more than one night there.

As a basic hotel the standard was great. I normally don't sleep well unless in my own bed, but this one was so comfortable and the hotel was so quiet and well ventilated I had a fantastic sleep. We had breakfast the last day and were pleased with the quality and service. We were impressed with the security and 24 hour serviced reception desk with polite staff who let us in and out each time.

Noisy locality at night but great Irish pub for eating and drinking at a few doors down probably explains some of the noise. Great staff.

Shabby Hotel Near to City Centre and Dart Station
I stayed here because I needed to be near to the city centre and dart rail station. The room was basic and smelt of damp. There was a leak which I could not find. The shower would only turn in and off by using the switch in the wall. Very noisy throughout the night, noise from bin men, street cleaning and people going about their business. Worst of all was the endless stamping above my head by people above. And endless movement and creaking. Also, loud tv and conversations. Staff helpful and nice but what can they do about guest behaviour and questionable fabric of building.

A little disappointing
This place is in need of modernisation. Carpets lifting up, showers with no power, hair dryers with no heat, smells of stale cigarettes, windows that keep out no noise etc. Staff decent and location perfect for a stay in Dublin but don’t expect The Ritz. For its cost, it should have been much better than it was.

I can't believe this was on Expedia
This was my 21st international trip. I have stayed in moderately priced hotels all over the world and this hotel was the worst I've ever stayed in. The guy checking us in took extra time to "pick a good room" for us. There were rust stains on the walls, the carpet was stained and threadbare, the bed was beyond uncomfortable and there were unidentifiable stains on the bedspread. Do not stay here. Right down the street is a lovely hotel that was the same price per night, The Anchor House. Thankfully we stayed there two nights and only had to suffer at the Maple Hotel for one night. The Maple was more of a hostel than a hotel.

You get what you pay for.
No frills hotel, you get what you pay for. About 20 mins walk from the main centre but a good location because you’re centre from everything touristy. The hotel it’s self could do with a renavation, really stuck in the 90’s but clean. The rooms again no frills, but very clean. The televisions don’t work at all if your into that sorta thing on your holidays. One main issue bothered me, you have to hand your key over the reception everytime you come and go, which wasn’t too bad of an issue if you weren’t pulled into a game of guess who everytime you came to get the key back. I’d stay here again, because you can’t stay anywhere for cheaper.

Shabby hotel
This hotel is extremely run down, every thing looks shabby and tired. Bar looked like it hadn't been opened in years. Staff had the personality of a slug and that's being generous. Didn't chance the breakfast the next day. I personally organised trip for friends and ourselves, very embarrassed with hotel, never asked them for room charge which was £130 per room. Never again!!!

Rotten unlooked after worst hotel we’ve ever had the misfortune to stay at. No thread on carpets. Seals broken on single glazed windows making all rooms very noisy. Completely run down. Avoid!

I love simple and humble, but this motel was a challenge. Although inexpensive and a Dublin Center location, it was very noisy, stuffy, and hot. An in room fan would have made a wonderful difference. To open the windows for air brought in more noise. The kicker was the free breakfast, or rather no free breakfast. I booked through an agency and was told the breakfast is only for those who book through the motel web site. No word of this on their web page. My advice? Stay at Glen House.

Was in a busier area that we thought ... lots of overnight noise ... but good location for O'Connell street eateries & bars. Close to walk to main city areas such as Trinity College etc.
