Right beside the entrance to the house, there is a nice cafe and a shop and pharmacy, RDS within a few min walk and many other restaurants and pubs, 15 min walk to the beach / promenade. Herbert park is 10 minutes walk.

The main DART stops are Lansdowne Road for the Northern parts of Ballsbridge and Sandymount for Southern parts including the RDS.
