went to Dublin for the garr cleary cd launch at the Unitarian church on Stephen's green - so, hostel was perfectly located. the food options were good, security was good and there was plenty of hot water. i was only there overnight...and it suited my purposes perfectly. check-in and out were hassle-free...breakfast was basic but fine...tea was nice...no limits, no worries...room was a little small, and much too warm when i went to bed at 1.30 am - despite window being open. it was a 4-bed and it was a warm night, so...again, no biggie. people seemed very happy to be there, lots of smily, chatty people; and the place does a roaring trade in coffees, latte's etc...to the public as much as residents. wi-fi connection was easy and good; enough electricity sockets around... was reasonable value for money, i suppose - it wasn't hotel price but also wasn't hotel standard. did what i needed it to do for me; i would recommend it with few reservations - and wouldn't hesitate to use it again...
