Swissotel is within The Ghurair Center, the shopping mall. The location of swissotel is excellent specially if you want to eat outside food, you’ll have plenty of restaurants of Asian, Continental especially the Al Rigga street. Thanks Expedia for giving excellent low hotel rates with lots of top rated starred categories hotels.

I went to stay there but unfortunately I was sold a suite instead of a regular room resulting in extra costs for me while regular rooms were available on app. Such a shame. I couldn’t book for the same days because it was 12:00am so I had book the room via reception.

Hotel has a problem with the cold water system after 11pm on some floors. water coming out of the shower and tap are boiling hot and it’s very dangerous. You can’t have a shower. Had to call the maintenance to come fix it twice during my stay. First time was early morning and the second time at around 1 am. Not being able to shower and use the toilet spoilt our stay at the hotel. Hope they can fix the problem to avoid inconveniencing other guests

The rooms are very old and outdated. There is a musty smell coming from the room. There was water leaking from the Muslim shower in the bathroom. Despite several phone calls over the course of an hour and half no one was coming to fix it. It was a massive health and safety hazard as the bathroom was flooded and someone could slip and seriously injure themselves. We wanted to use the toilet but we were unable to do so. There was a young boy from house keeping who had bought a spare bed for us who was far from friendly and looked like he was being forced to work, definitely not the service one would expect in a 5* hotel but nonetheless we said to him to get another mattress as the mattress was rock hard to which he abruptly responded that it would take over an hour. When he came with the mattress upon leaving he slammed the door shut, again not something you would expect from a 5* hotel. The day manager I found was quite rude if I’m honest. We’ve been coming here for the past few years now and there has been a change in management and it really shows. Concierge also took over an hour to come and collect our luggage!

This is an amazing hotel close to all the attractions. It is also close to the union metro station making your journies pretty convenient. The hotel is clean, staff are amazing, and they do give upgrades :-). I got an early check in too after a 14 hour flight - they checked me in at 9am!!
