Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture, summerhouse and barbecue. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking. Please note: The garden is sloping and has 2 steps in.. End Cottage is just that! The very last cottage at the end of a lane, in the beautiful Wolds village of Tibthorpe. There is no passing traffic and with views across the Yorkshire Wolds, this tranquil, renovated, period cottage, adjacent to the owner’s home, offers excellent levels of accommodation and guest comfort. Every effort has been made to ensure that guests’ expectations will be met and visitors will return home with great memories and wishing to return. Upon entering the cottage there is 1 step down into a small entrance hall. Leading off from this is a large sitting room with a traditional multi-fuel burner. This room is flooded with natural light from windows in the roof and has views across the garden and access into the conservatory, which then leads out into the enclosed garden. With deep sofas and a large flatscreen TV, this really is the perfect location to relax and unwind in front of the fire after a long day exploring the local area.

The large modern kitchen/dining room has all the facilities the chef in the family would need to help prepare delicious home cooked meals. There is also access to the conservatory from the kitchen. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom with either a kingsize bed or twin beds, a wonderful full length feature window overlooking the garden, and an en-suite bathroom. On the first floor is a large second bedroom, also equipped with either a kingsize or twin beds. Twin aspect windows flood the room with light as well as providing some lovely, long views. The room could be called ’quirky’, since no two walls are parallel. A lovely en-suite shower room completes the facilities. Also on the first floor is a small, mezzanine area, utilised as a ’quiet corner’ and offering a place to relax and read, meditate or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. It is equipped with a relaxing chair and a selection of books. The views are also pretty special too!

The enclosed garden has a lovely summerhouse with a separate patio area close to the house, where you can sit and eat an early breakfast in the sun or enjoy al fresco dining after a day exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The garden is a wildlife paradise. Bird feeders bring a constant parade of small garden birds which are easily watched from any of the numerous rear windows or from the comfort of a seat in the conservatory. A greater spotted woodpecker will sometimes be seen, helping himself to peanuts. More unusual visitors are the long-tailed tits, whose high-pitched calls are usually the first sign of their proximity. Hedgehogs, squirrels, partridge, pheasant and rabbits regularly visit the garden, plus a rather bossy chicken from the farm next door. Please try not to disturb the wildlife, bearing in mind especially that the hedgehogs are normally active at dusk and dawn. Motorcycle or cycle storage is available in the garage. The area is very popular with motorcyclists, and is reputed to offer some of the best rides in the country. There are also many challenging cycling routes, as shown by the return of the Tour de Yorkshire on 2nd-5th May 2019. If your interests are walking, cycling or birdwatching, or you just love the East Riding of Yorkshire, your every need will be well catered for in End Cottage. The beautiful Yorkshire coastline and the seaside town of Bridlington is only 17 miles away. The tower cliffs and RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is also within easy reach. There is also easy access to York, Malton, Beverley and Hull (UK City of Culture 2017). The Yorkshire Wolds are dotted with picturesque villages and pretty market towns which can be explored from the miles of public footpaths, bridleways or from one of the many cycle routes. End Cottage really does have something for everyone. Beach 17 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Wonderful old cottage, with a modern interior, in a small village in a beautiful location. The cottage is immaculately presented with all mod cons including a fine, spacious kitchen diner, a small conservatory and a private garden overlooking open fields. The cottage met our needs perfectly with walks all around, The owners live opposite and a very friendly and welcoming on arrival, available should you need them but otherwiseleave you to enjoy your stay. we couldn't fault it. While the village itself has no shop or pub, all am enities are available in Driffield which is about 10 minute drive away. Surrounding area is beautiful and coast is within easy reach. We couldn't fault it. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We have nothing negative to say about End Cottage.
We have nothing negative to say about End Cottage. It is the best Cottage we have ever stayed in. Everything about it was top notch. We loved the beautiful bed linen and fluffy towels, and the kitchen was equipped with all the kitchen equipment you could possibly need. For nature lovers the Cottage is ideal---we had daily visits from the greater spotted woodpecker and several types of tits, chaffinches and goldfinches. Not forgetting the pheasant! We don't like to spend all day in the car and found that the situation of the Cottage is such that we were able to just travel about 12 miles to visit many interesting places. Sledmere House and gardens and Burton Agnes Hall and gardens are well worth a visit. We also enjoyed a lovely visit to Tophill Low nature reserve. We didn't actually see much wildlife but the walk in the woods was superb. Jane the cottage owner was extremely helpful without being intrusive. So many thanks for a wonderful stay and we hope to come again. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Absolutely beautiful cottage, in a great location and is really well appointed and equipped.
Absolutely beautiful cottage, in a great location and is really well appointed and equipped. The owner Jane, was really helpful and friendly and really took care of us when there was an unexpected, and apparently previously unheard of, 4 hour power cut on the first night. The cottage is at the end of a quiet lane in a village that has no facilities which suited us fine as there are plenty of shops a short drive away. The beds are really comfortable, and bathrooms nicely appointed and stylish. It was nice to have a smart TV in both bedrooms, the lounge and kitchen if that is your thing. The log burner was welcomed, especially on the night of the power cut. The garden is lovely, with lots of wildfire visiting throughout the day and night, and backs onto fields. End cottage is a beautifully renovated, light and airy, holiday home, with a lovely feel to it. With the benefit of a sun-room, lovely garden (full of birds feeding) and smart summerhouse (we used it in winter, to pop out and stargaze from). It is situated down a pretty, peaceful, lane. The owners are very thoughtful, and helpful. The cottage is in a great location, with places such as Beverley, Hull and RSPB Bempton Cliffs (well worth a visit - especially in spring nesting time) a short drive away. Beverley is a beautiful market town - worth a visit for the mix of architectural styles, minster, and general lovely vibe of the place. It's also great for anyone whom enjoys shopping and dining out! There are decent supermarkets a short drive away in Driffield and Beverley. A wonderful place to stay.

An absolutely stunning cottage.
An absolutely stunning cottage. The pictures don't do it anywhere near enough justice; it has been beautifully restored and you have to see it to fully appreciate it. Beautiful birds in the garden all day and a quiet setting. In a central location and easy access to York, the seaside, Beverly etc. Jane, the host, was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We can't wait to come back.

Friendly and informed reception from Jane, End Cottage owner, who lives opposite.
Friendly and informed reception from Jane, End Cottage owner, who lives opposite. As a family of four (including a tween and teen), we found the cottage clean, spacious, comfortable and of a modern spec whilst retaining it's own character. We particularly enjoyed morning coffee in the sun room overlooking a perfectly formed garden full of interest and wild birds. The private terrace served us well during the evenings for games and a barbeque. The rural location is beautiful and strong road connections led us to explore both East & North Yorkshire with ease. Tibthorpe itself has few amenities for self catering tourists, but near by market town of Driffield (15 mins drive) provided independent shops and a national supermarket within easy reach. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Absolute delight
Just back home after 4 nights at End Cottage with our Grand Children and we could not have been more satisfied. The property was even better than described and is newly refurnished with quality fittings throughout. Jane, the owner, communicated with us beforehand and checked and special needs, and had left us a nice welcome pack in the kitchen . She was on hand to explain everything although the cottage is not a problem to operate. The property is located in a small Yorkshire Wolds village but their are pubs and a nice restaurant within a couple of miles and bigger shops only 5 minutes away in Driffield. It is a perfect base for exploring the Coast, Hull and York but if you just want to chill then watching the bird activity in the garden is just the thing. Thank you Jane we are sure we will see you again.

An ideal place for exploring the Yorkshire Wolds on foot, and for visits to the Yorkshire coast, Yorkshire Moors and near by stateley homes. Beautiful cottage in very quiet location. Superb place to relax and unwind. All home comforts provided. Warm, cosy, very comfortable beds and furnished to a very high standard. Loved the log burner and spotting birds in the garden. Small village of Wetwang just a few minutes drive and Driffield is the nearest market town. Great place to explore the East and North Yorkshire coast. Warm and helpful owners are just next door, we couldn’t fault any part of our stay.

This cottage is one of the best that we have ever stayed in.
This cottage is one of the best that we have ever stayed in. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and there was nothing that we were short of. The soft furnishings, fluffy white towels, along with the generous welcome pack were very much appreciated. There are no local amenities as such but if it is peace and tranquillity that you are looking for, in beautiful surroundings, then this is the cottage for you. Our host, Jane, is very approachable and nothing is too much trouble for her. This is definitely a cottage that we will revisit.

Wonderful cottage .
Wonderful cottage . It has everything you could possibly need for a great break. Hosts are very welcoming, lovely welcome pack (even dog biscuits in it for our 2 dogs ) The kitchen is beautifully fitted out ,both bedrooms and bathrooms are modern with comfortable beds and plenty of room , even big fluffy bath sheets for you. Lounge has a lovely log fire although weather was so nice we didn't need it . Outside there is a good seating area and a lovely contained ,safe garden . I would definitely recommend End Cottage to anyone wanting a quiet getaway break .
