This is a great location near the sights of Dresden, easily reachable by tram from the train station. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, lovely bar area. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Gemütliche Lounge, in der man sich gern aufhält. Abends sogar noch kleine warme Snacks im Angebot - ein perfekter Tagesabschluss. Frühstücksangebot gut. Nur zum Zeitunglesen sind die Tische ein bisschen zu klein. Ich komme gern wieder!

Das Personal? Supernett, kein Grund zur Beschwerde. Die Zimmer? Typisch Motel One – sauber und minimalistisch, nichts Ausgefallenes, aber es passt. Die Lage? Einfach top, da kann man wirklich nichts sagen. Aber jetzt zur Bar. Das war der Knackpunkt: gnadenlos unterbesetzt. Ich hab schon schneller Wurzeln wachsen sehen. Du bestellst einen Gin Tonic – 18 Euro, ja, richtig gelesen - auch wenn’s ein sehr guter war – und denkst, es geht los. Aber nein, du wartest. Und wartest. Das ganze Prozedere fühlt sich an wie bei Ikea, nur ohne Köttbullar. Schließlich ruft dich der Barkeeper wie in einem Schnellrestaurant nach vorne, um dein Getränk abzuholen. Nach 35 Minuten, wohlgemerkt. Bezahlt hast du natürlich sofort. Logisch. Bei dem Preis könnte man meinen, das Ding wird dir an den Tisch gebracht – aber weit gefehlt. Du wirst behandelt wie in der Kantine, nur dass der Gin Tonic mehr kostet als dein Pausenbrot damals. Irgendwas läuft da doch schief, oder?

Einfach Perfekt! Das Motel One liegt sehr Zentrumsnah beim Zwinger. Fast alle Sehennswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Cafes und Restaurants liegen ebenfalls in der Nähe. Zum Hotel selbst: es ist modern eingerichtet. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Einziger Punkt den man bemängeln könnte war eine Stufe von ca. 15 cm Höhe. Auch war das WC zu knapp beim Waschtisch. Es gibt eine Parkgarage mit Zugang per Aufzug direkt zu den Zimmern. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet für jeden etwas.
