We had a pleasant stay. Enough beds for everyone, and we enjoyed grilling and eating at the picnic table. The bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs, which was a little inconvenient.
We had a great time staying at Frog hollow! The property was beautiful everything we were looking for for a family getaway! We hope to visit again soon!
Great location, able to host an event but house needs deep cleaning. Had no sheets on the beds and yard was littered with geese poo.
Rented pontoon and kayaks: hand trouble starting the pontoon but Heather was very helpful, pontoon was dirty when we got it.
We had an amazing experience! Everyone around us was so friendly! It was a perfect getaway!

Had a good time!
Had a girls weekend and the house was comfortable for our group of 7. We had a nice relaxing time, enjoyed the pontoon rental very much. Very nice and friendly people in the area.
We had our annual guys weekend here. It was everything we could have wanted. It was great that there were beds for everyone. That's not always the case. Thank you for your hospitality.
We had an amazing weekend at Frog Hollow on Magician lake and would go back in a heartbeat! Cynthia was great to deal with and helped out any questions. The house had everything we needed and the pictures don't do it justice! Definitely would come back for another weekend!
We had a great experience! The pictures are exactly accurate of where you’ll be staying. Cabin was not fancy but clean and had everything that we needed and lots of areas for sleeping! Air-conditioning worked great. We loved our little spot on the Canal and we were very close to magicians lake. We brought our boat and had a wonderful vacation. Thank you for making it such a comfortable stay.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed boating, swimming on the lake and then back to the very private property for s'mores at the campfire. Overlooked the channel (more like private river). Our 4 and 6 year old had a wonderful time looking for frogs and catching lots of small fish perfect for learning...and a 3 lbs bass to hook them for life. Wifi and Ac were excellent for when they were fried. All beds were comfy and even cold...but nice thing about AC is you can turn it down. We came over packed not knowing what to expect...everything was provided and in great shape. Just need food and drink...really. they even have ice cubes made. Thanks for the great time. Next time we would pack less and rent boat all days as the lake is awesome.

MOLD
My group of friends wanted to get out of the city for a while and go swimming, have bonfires etc. The first day many of the girls complained that their allergies were much worse here than back where we live. One morning, my friend woke up with her eye so swollen she couldn’t even open it. We searched the house and found mold growing by the air conditioner. This was extremely upsetting and we had to cut our trip short and leave because so many of us were having symptoms. This was on top of the fact that there was water damage on the walls, dead bugs everywhere and cobwebs and dust all over the ceiling. We can deal with dust but mold is a dealbreaker. The house itself is super cute and in a great location but the cleanliness was not there at all.

Not worth the money
The only reason I gave this rental two stars is because the owner seems nice. The place itself is one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. It is old, dirty, and has almost NO amenities. We had to bring our own sheets and towels, but the bathroom was so disgusting that we couldn't bring ourselves to use the shower. The kitchen didn't even have dish soap or any towels or rags. We didn't use any pans or plates seeing that there was nothing to clean them with and this property asks you completely clean up after yourself. I have a physical handicap and could not get upstairs to where the bedrooms were. There was an oddly built staircase that narrows as it goes up and had no hand rail at the top. The rental is void of all decor and personality. The door you walk in hits a light fixture on the ceiling. There were other strange layout issues, but I think I have listed enough. I can hardly believe how much we paid to stay here...we would've been better off at a cheap hotel.
To be up front, I'm giving this 2 Stars and not 1 because Cynthia/Hilda were very nice and accommodating. With that being said, this was not a great rental experience. A group of 8 of us stayed for 2 nights for a wedding in town, and a big talking point of the wedding was about how bad this rental was.
We did not receive any check in information prior to arriving. Upon entering we noticed a smell, and since we hadn't received previous info, discovered we needed to bring sheets. There was blankets (which didn't smell great), but no sheets. Members of our group went out to buy sheets, as well as candles and air freshener spray. We discovered the smell came from the water. We have all dealt with well water before, but this well water smelt like sewage. We actually had to air out the property and open up windows after showering because the 1st floor smelt so bad. A member of our group ended up booking a hotel room so we could use the showers there. Upon leaving we tried to close one of the windows, but we couldn't because it was broken. We also found two hornet nests on the porch, one particularly large, as well as a hole surrounded by hatched snake eggs by the fire pit. The property was generally clean, however we noticed a large amount of dead bugs like in locations such as the window sills, as well as noticeable orange streaks in the shower. To follow up on no check in communication, we didn't receive check out information as well. So hopefully we did everything we needed to do after cleaning up after ourselves.
This property would honestly need some work before I would even consider staying here again. Having to make an immediate run to the store to make it suitable to stay in for our short period easily makes this the worst rental I have had.
