"Aux Herbes Hautes is located in a beautiful place, just by the bord of Pas-de-Calais, but not far from Lille and some of the busy parts of the Nord department of France. The owner keeps a pristine apartment comprising a small kitchen, sitting room and bathroom on the ground floor, with a king bed and bath on the first floor. "Firstly this b&b is most certainly NOT in a rural location as described by Expedia and is definitely NOT multilingual. Just the one member of ‘staff’. The b&b is in the city centre and surrounded by buildings. The only parking is on street - if your lucky. The place does not have its own ‘free parking’ at all. We arrived at b&b at 20.00 after booking our room at 13.30 on the same day to find no one there. Proprietor eventually appeared from property next door as we phoned him and he had no idea...

As there is no dinner service in the hotel they advised us [even on a monday - not many place serve food] to a nearby [7km] restaurant, where we had a fine meal after a long journey"
