"A short break-away stay to visit the mountain. The motel presented well on the reviews and we were not disappointed. King spa suite had views of the mountain. It had a well appointed kitchenette and bathroom with a comfy bed. Really enjoyable stay."

"Immmaculate, modern farm stay but oh so cozy and warm!! So tastefully decorated and with a really thoughtful host. We travelled from afar and arrived late in the evening. She had turned the lights and heat pump on. Beautiful place for a small family- we were two female adults and 2 under 13 children. Loved every minute of our stay. "

"Our decision to get away to Hawera was made late, but we booked and were confirmed in just minutes. I thought the House seemed a very good deal on paper, but upon arrival it just got even better. Christina and Kelly were very welcoming and friendly, they showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is beautiful and very well kept, very clean, quiet, comfortable and warm. Easy parking as well. The super king size bed is very comfortable. Plenty of snacks and food available if you need it. Ten out of ten experience and a very comfortable couple of nights."

"From walking into the Villa, we felt home. A fire was heating the whole house, and everything was just absolutely perfect. All amenities have been provided, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast and basics to cook your own meals. This is really a true gem in the heart of Taranaki and we will surely be back. "The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."

"It's an old shop so it's a bit worn, but it has more than everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good fireplace and lots of firewood, books, magazines, games. Breakfast provisions laid on which was unexpected but very convenient. Good shower. Less than a 1 minute walk to the pub for meals."
