"It was not even close to why we expected . The rooms were very basic and not well maintained . The facilities were sub par and the staff ( with very few exceptions ) were not at all interested in assisting or being friendly . We received limited information about what to do and what the facilities were . I rarely write bad reviews but we ended up leaving half way through our stay and they were not even interested as to why . We forfeited two night ( and we had two rooms ) it was so bad . "

"We traveled South Africa for one month and this was out favorite place to lodge and we stayed in 10 different hotels. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was SUPERB, the rooms were very clean, and it’s in a perfect spot close to the ocean and great restaurants and entertainment. "

"It was a good stay ,one knows what to expect from a City Lodge, and, they deliver. The stay pleasant, the staff are great, friendly and efficient. The room is good, probably needs an upgrade (my humble opinion), the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is adequate. The shower door did not shut fully and was somewhat bothersome. I did not have time for breakfast, but, I know that the breakfast here is good. Decent variety, very fresh and really nice staff to give you a good start to your day. I would stay here again, it's a good choice at a fairly reasonable price. "
