"This was not what I expected. The listing states “just a few minutes walk “ to restaurants, shops, etc. I’m thinking that walk would have been 20-30 minutes…and getting back would have been all uphill. The property itself was ok. Provided what we needed…but definitely furnished and equipped as cheaply as possible. It could use some new paint on the walls, or some cleaning of walls. Also to get hot water upstairs - there’s a switch on the wall in hallway. Would have been helpful to know that...

"Great family stay, a little dated but overall very nice. Rooms were comfortable and apartment was very spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Some nice trails nearby and stunning views. Close by to Sligo and other areas, plus regular bus if you want to leave the car"

"Myself, my husband and our four children (15,19,20,21)stayed here along with my sister, her husband and their two (19,21)children. We also had one niece (21)staying with us. Everyone had a fantastic time! We love the house and adore the setting. Jen, who minds the house, greeted us the first day and was excellent with communication throughout the whole trip. "We were looking for a quiet, private and remote cottage. This was exactly it. Very picturesque, with views of Ben Bulben, farm land and the sea nearby. Lots to do and see in the area. The hosts were excellent."
