Photos look good. When we arrived it was a different experience.
Firstly entering the property was fine, key is in a lock box that the owner sends you the code for. Breakfast items in the kitchen were a nice touch. Loved that
The property need quite a bit of work done to bring it up to a decent standard. And owner needs to properly check stuff before new people come in. For example: cobwebs (loads), some of the cutlery was still dirty (had dried bits on them), half a toilet roll on the holder and a full one that was stained and had gotten wet at some point.
The property had loads of problems, but we were only there for 2 nights so didnt see the point in raising them with owner: loads of light bulbs weren’t working, scratched/dirty tv (very old tv that doesn’t support hdmi (we brought a games console with us to have a games night we couldn’t do), very poor tv reception, back door really struggled to lock (always took us about 5 minutes), curtain tie backs coming off the wall in living room, bedroom door doesn’t close, bathroom door doesn’t close (the door would get stuck and you’d risk breaking it to open it), the beds/mattress’ seriously need replacement as they were very worn, creaky and very soft from age. I think lowering the price of a stay to a more fair price point for the current state of the property, would be advisable.
Garden was nice and big, the dog loved it, but some furniture out there would’ve been nice too.
