The cottage is in the grounds of the old rectory, next door to a similar cottage, but privacy is not an issue. It is clean comfortable and well equipped and ideal as a base to explore the area.
The Olde Rectory was a perfect base to explore Wicklow. Martin and Harriet were wonderful hosts and provided many tips that were very helpful and added to the enjoyment of the area.

Perfect place for a quiet break. Staff extremely welcoming and polite. The unit was clean and warm. Will be going back
What a fabulous place in Ireland’s beautiful Wicklow County countryside! We had a wonderful stay and lovely walk to the circle of rocks. The “Old Rectory” has several options of accommodations and could be a great place for a family reunion. We had everything we needed and absolutely loved the hosts, Harriet and Martin.
Our hosts were very easy to communicate with, very helpful when our plans changed, super welcoming when we finally arrived and our little dog loved the resident retriever! Cozy, tidy and comfortable - our stay was just too short!
Relaxed home from home. Friendly, easy going, well run vibe about the owners and the whole property. Plenty of options on site for bigger groups to have their own place but be close to other family / friend groups.

The property was in the country and easy to find. The owners were on holiday so we didn’t get to meet them but Carol let us into the cottage. She was amazing! Very helpful and kind! She showed us around the property, and gave us recommendations on where to buy groceries and some things to do in the area. We loved hearing the history of the property. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We would definitely recommend!
We couldnt have stayed at a more perfect place. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. We loved that we were able to travel to dublin easily but that we were located away from the hustle and bustle. We were 15 minutes from blessington lake and the sally gap, both beautiful drives. It took us a day to get used to driving on the left hand side and once we did, we easily got around ireland. Will hands down stay here again when I come back. Everyone was inviting and charming. Thank you Martin and Harriet. I can literally say I had the best time of my life on this trip.
My partner and I stayed two nights and it was so relaxing. The gardens were beautiful during the day. The host was fantastic and thoughtful. We would definitely stay here again!
Loved the cottage and the surrounding property. Owners are wonderful people and great hosts. Great location to daytrip all around County Wicklow. Beautiful and peaceful place - just what I was looking for.
The property was excellent, clean and tidy, we both really enjoyed our stay. Martin and Harriet were both very pleasant and friendly. This was a lovely break for us, very quiet and peaceful . We would love to go back in the future
My duster and I really enjoyed our stay at the Old Rectory. The property was bright, clean and welcoming. We were welcomed in a friendly way and a slice of cheesecake. The grounds are lovely. All was dog friendly. We would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
Lovely rural location; ver kind and attentive host…
Martin our host was extremely kind, attentive without being intrusive. The whole property is calming, quirky, and beautiful. It is easy to find via gps, and there are local markets and stores nearby. HIGHLY recommend!!!
We visited the Old Rectory with our dogs. The property had everything we required. Martin and his family made us very welcome. The cottage was within the grounds of and old rectory and other cottages. Each was close enough to feel that we weren’t on our own but far enough apart to have your own privacy. Excellent overall.
Ich komme immer wieder gerne!! Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen und die Anlage ist toll. Auch die Lage bietet sich an, um in alle Richtungen Ausflüge zu planen.
We loved our stay here:
1. Quiet - in the middle of no-where (pub and local shop 15mins walk away); sheep, cattle, bird songs all nearby
2. Cosy - log burner in the front room
3. Beautiful countryside - lovely 8 Km walk through forest on doorstep
4. Great hosts - did a shop for us in advance as we had to self-isolate for 2 wks before going to see family. Quick to respond to any questions we had. Extremely friendly; even brought us over pizza one night!
5. Great WiFi - was a "must" for us as we had to work for the 2 wks
6. Big garden (with trampoline and balls) to use if kids come
7. Lovely cottage; fully kitted out
8. Would DEFINITELY come again!
