Villacool is designed by a renowned Italian architect and it is a luxurious and contemporary detached family villa. The property has been completely refurbished to a very high standard in 2024 to make it a sustainable property (Class A++).
It is located near Chia, a pearl of the Mediterranean Sea, where the most beautiful white sandy beaches of Sardinia meet the turquoise transparent waters of this magnificent coastline.
Villacool offers its guests a relaxing place where to escape the lively beaches after a hot sunny day. The villa sits on gentle hills surrounded by vineyards and cork trees. Its location offers stunning open views.
A fantastic infinity pool (10m x 5m) featuring an inside water sitting area, lit at night and protected by a lush garden with bushes and plants, completes the property. The pool terrace offers sun lounges and a pool shower.
The two large porches offer the perfect spot for a romantic aperitif or quiet nights admiring the marvellous starring sky. The outdoor kitchen/BBQ under a large patio and its dining area are perfect for “al fresco” dining over a glass of tasteful local wine.
Villacool is a detached Villa on 3 split levels with a large and open space living room/kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 2 family bathrooms with showers. The house is very bright and the whole of the property is equipped with air conditioning.
At the ground floor is is a big open space where the large sitting room is made of two sections. On one side there is the TV corner with a large Samsung Smart TV (access to Netflix included) with international channels. On the other there is a very spacious double sofa and mini hi-fi music system. Adjacent to this there is a open American style fully equipped kitchen. Unlimited high speed Wi-Fi is available free of charge across the house.
At the upper mezzanine floor there are the two main bedrooms: the master has a large built wardrobe, opening to a fantastic garden patio, and a second room sleeping up to 3 people also has garden access. A modern family bathroom with a large Italian shower serves the mezzanine floor (a built-in washing machine is located here).
At the lower split level there are two additional bedrooms with large wardrobes and served by the ground floor bathroom with shower.
The gated property also features garden lights, automatic irrigation system, wooden fence and its own private parking place in front of the entrance.
Villacool is the perfect spot for luxury beach holidays in Southern Sardinia and its beautiful natural territory.
ECO HOUSE. In 2024 the property has been entirely refurbished. Outdoor walls have been remade with special insulation techniques and materials, underfloor heating has been installed as well as new high energy efficiency Air Conditioning / Heating system. All windows and doors have been changed to the most efficient energy standards. 100% of the electricity consumption is provided by solar panels (not displayed on old website pictures). Water is heated through solar heated tanks. There is a charging port for Electric Vehicles. Water comes from a private well and clean water is filtered before discharge. An excellent villa
We had a wonderful week in villa cool. Lovely villa, great pool. Beaches are 15-20 minute drive and are absolutely beautiful. Local restaurants 20 min walk to town serve delicious food.

Tranquil Beautiful Villa
Villacool was a great stay for us - plenty of space very clean, and reasonably well equipped. We had a couple of issues on check in but they were resolved extremely quickly. The pool was a great size and very clean although unheated which made it chilly in May but we still used it daily. Overall, the Villa is as described in the listing and the photos are accurate. On our last day we discovered the village market which has some interesting stalls. Chai beach near the tower has a lovely cafe and a good coastal walk

Lovely Villa in a quiet and beautiful setting
A lovely place to relax, well away from all the bustle of conventional holiday resorts,. The villa is in a beautiful setting, and with easy access to lovely beaches and restaurants. The house and pool are lovely and means you can spend a day 'in' without compromise.

Fantastic Villa
Beautifully decorated villa, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. In a lovely setting a short hop from the local village centre. Brilliant communication from the owner and always went that extra mile to ensure all of our needs were met. Would have no hesitation in recommending, one of the nicest villas we have every stayed at. Shame we are now back to the dreary, wet, cold UK!

Luxurious holiday vacation
We enjoyed the very quiet and spacious villa. Specifically the communication with Manuele, the owner, was perfect. He helped to sort out small issues very quickly. We were 4 adults and 1 kid and had more than enough space to relax and have fun at the pool.

Beautiful & peaceful
The Villa was as beautiful as expected and the host provides a lot of info about about the region which was helpful with planning our stay. Our group had a rental car and we spent our days out and about at beaches, golf, wineries and the Villa was a great place to spend our evenings together. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook dinner in and there are also plenty of great restaurants a short drive away. Both Manuele, the host, and Francesca, the on-site contact are very responsive and helpful.

Great break in a beautiful corner of Sardinia
Lovely villa in a peaceful and beautiful area of Sardinia. Some amazing (and relatively uncrowded) beaches are around a 15 minute drive away. There are 2-3 nice restaurants/pizzerias around 20 minutes walk away and many more within driving distance. Quite a few villas nearby are undergoing some building work, but there was no significant noise disruption whilst we were there. The villa is really nice, having also recently completed some improvement work; and the large pool was great to cool down in! The owner (Manuele) was helpful and responsive, and this was really appreciated!

Relaxing
The villa was clean, excellent location for privacy, (you will need a car to go anywhere), pools was clean and great fun. The only issue I had, which has nothing to do with the owners, is the garbage! The town regulations are very strict and most be followed. At the end of our stay ( we did follow all the rules concerning the garbage) we had some garbage left and the manager was very helpful and said he would take care of it. The garbage instructions are very clear so if you follow them there will be no problems. Great family vacation villa. Would highly recommend,

Vacanza Fantastica
Our family of four spent two wonderful weeks at Villacool this August. The villa is beautiful. The large pool is perfectly positioned catching the sun all day with plenty of shady areas around it for when it gets too hot. The villa itself is beautifully presented, equipped with everything needed and more, bedrooms are very spacious and the layout of the house is fantastic. The villa, although only a short 10 minute walk from the village is very private. Domus de Maria is a lovely quiet village with bakers (amazing breads and croissants), butchers and few small shops. It also has two pizzerias, both of which are lovely to spend an evening in over some delicious pizzas and few drinks. Other lovely restaurants are only a short drive away. The amazing beaches of Chia are only 10-15 minutes by car. The owner, Manuele, has been absolutely fantastic all the way through. He kept us in the loop in regards to the ever changing Covid-19 situation and what to expect on beaches, in restaurants, travelling etc. He has given us so much information before our holiday (best beaches, where to eat, where to visit…) Nothing was too much trouble for him. We would highly recommend Villacool without any hesitation.

Fond memories of Villacool in Domus De Maria
Our family of two adults and two teenagers spent a week at Villacool in Domus de Maria in June 2014. Our arrival was very simple with clear instructions on how to locate the villa. The villa was perfect for our family with a beautiful swimming pool in Mediterranean gardens with herbs such as rosemary filling the air with their beautiful smell. Outside there was an outdoor kitchen with barbeque which we used on two evenings. We used this shaded area most days for lunch al fresco. We also enjoyed the upper terrace in the early evening to relax before going out for dinner. Internally we found the villa to be immaculate, cool and spacious and was well equipped with every modern convenience such as cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, satellite TV and WiFi (very important for our daughters). There were two bathrooms which were very modern and luxurious. The house still has a new feel and has a very pleasing layout over split levels that allows a lovely view of the pool and gardens and a great bedroom space in the basement which is very cool and my daughter loved. The area is quiet and peaceful and we found the local people in Domus de Maria and in Chia to be very warm and friendly, and shops and restaurants were excellent value. We visited some of the beaches in the area such as Chia, SuGiudeu, Tueredda - Sardinia definitely has the best beaches in Europe! We dined out in Bithia restaurant close to the Chia Laguna Resort and returned for a second night as we really enjoyed their service and superb grilled sea bass. They had the best chips (hot and crispy) and we tried the local crispy bread for the first time which was served warm with fresh rosemary, yummy. We also visited the ancient ruins in Nora. The weather was gorgeous throughout our stay at Villacool and as we were so comfortable in the villa and pool we had trouble getting our girls to leave it and go exploring. My only complaints are that our time there went too quickly and I wish we could stay longer. Thank you Manuele for allowing us to experience the Dolce Vita in your little piece of paradise. Well equipped, quality property
We had a very pleasant stay at Villacool, Domus de Maria. The property is clean, well equipped, and great both indoors and outdoors. The swimming pool was notably in excellent condition. We mostly ate outdoors and the outdoor gas BBQ was much appreciated. The house is a little way inland, as shown in the property listing, and therefore away from busy tourist areas, which means there is a short drive to get places but also that the property is quiet and relaxing. Definitely recommended.

La villa est magnifique 😍. Les plages sont a couper le souffle! Le propriétaire est alerte lorsqu'on lui demande certaines informations ce fut un plaisir de constater la rapidité avec laquelle celui-ci nous répondait! Par contre nous aurions aimé que la responsable de l'accueil ne soit pas si pressée de partir de plus elle ne parlait que l'italien donc difficile pour nous de comprendre et de demander plus d'informations!

Schöner Familienurlaub im verträumten Domus de Maria
Die Unterkunft liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Lage. Fahrzeug ist unbedingt notwendig. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Die vorab Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war TOP. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge.

Schönes, sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus
Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Villa Cool. Der Pool war Mitte Oktober zwar schon sehr kalt, aber das hat die Kinder nicht abgehalten. Das Haus ist recht hellhörig, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Es gibt einige Katzen in der Nachbarschaft, die regelmäßig zu Besuch kamen (nur im Außenbereich!). Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, alles da, was man braucht. Super Host: Manuele hat uns sogar bei der Tischreservierung geholfen, da man dort kein Englisch verstand. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, die Strände ca 12 - 15 Minuten entfernt. Im Oktober musste man schauen, wo es noch Liegen gab, aber dafür es überall angenehm leer. Wir empfehlen das Haus gern weiter!

A great week at villa cool. The weather was great and the local beaches and sea were the best we had been too. Manuele was great and responded quickly to any needs. This time of year a lot of places are closed but that didn’t spoil our stay.

We originally booked Villacool for 2020 but due to Covid we had to cancel twice and finally made it in 2022. It was worth the wait. Manuele was so understanding and helpful throughout and always responded really quickly. The area is beautiful and the villa had everything we needed for a fantastic time. I’d recommend Villacool to everyone.

Wirklich eine coole Villa
Positiv: Ein wirklich sehr schönes Haus, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr gepflegtes Grundstück, toller großer Pool, viele Sitzmöglichkeiten, tolle Ausstattung der Küche, schöne Außen Küche mit großen Grill, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter ausgezeichnet und auf Wünsche oder Probleme wird wirklich rasend schnell reagiert. Nicht ganz optimal: Zwei Zimmer im Haus haben keine Fenster, da sie im Hang im Untergeschoss liegen, die andern sind im ersten Stock. Wespenplage auf dem Grundstück, somit Abendessen erst wenn es dunkel ist möglich und Frühstück draußen eher schwierig. Ein bis zwei Sonnenschirme wären schön, damit man auch vormittags Schatten am Pool hat.

Lovely villa in peaceful location
Very well equipped villa in lovely rural spot though close to village with restaurants and basic food shops. Very spacious inside with a good finish. A good sized pool with pleasant pool area and several sun beds / deck chairs. We had a very good week and would definitely recommend.
