"Lovely host. Beautiful property, inside and outside. Comfortable, spacious and well appointed room. Breakfast was splendid - home made cake and lots of locally sourced produce. Great location to use as a base for a visit to La Rochelle which is well worth a visit or two. Highly recommended chambre d'hote."

"This property is a lovely historic house with beautiful decor and well appointed rooms. It is a very unique guest house with a lot of art, sculptures and antiques. The owners are very friendly. The continental breakfast was simple but a nice way to start the day. The Expedia description of the guesthouse says the property has a cafe, 18-hole golf course and 2 beach bars, which is not accurate. However, there is mini-golf and a river in the park nearby, but it's not part of the property. There is...

"A lovely place to stay. Very friendly, very clean, great breakfasts - especially with Tom's useful hints about places to visit - and a lovely pool. Not under their control obviously, the only downside was the lack of restaurants around. But the kitchen facilities were brilliant, and the supermarket was only a short walk. The bus stop is really close, and the bike hire was great. A car would give you access to more eating options."
