This property is absolutely perfect for a getaway with your family. We had a wedding on the property and the background scenery was absolutely beautiful! Even though it was late April and we weren’t sure on weather conditions the snow wasn’t a problem at all. It wasn’t too terribly cold and Mark made sure we had plenty of wood for the fireplace. Mark was great about providing any and everything we needed. I would rebook this house in a heart beat.
We absolutely loved our stay here. I had my wedding on June 8, 2024, and it was picture-perfect. During our stay, the new moon allowed us to see the Milky Way just by looking up! The location, nestled between Telluride and Durango, was ideal, offering plenty of opportunities for travel and sightseeing. The family enjoyed the trail on the property. The solar power was unique and added a bit of a challenge to getting ready for the wedding, but we were prepared for that. The WiFi was a bit slow, as expected. Despite a small inconvenience of workers on the nearby house during the wedding evening, the overall ambiance of the location was magical and captivating. We would absolutely stay again! Sara was so wonderful and responsive.
Outstanding time in this huge house. Plenty of seats at the table and kitchen bar to feed all of us but and still be in the same room. Plenty of blankets, pillows, sheets and towels for an Army. 45 min drive to Ski Telluride(Mountain Village). Based on the drive during winter you must get 4 wheel drive and studded tires if they have them. Rent Jeeps from DiffJeeps in Montrose or Telluride, great way to go. DO NOT GO IN 2 WHEEL VEHICLES, too much snow, too much ice for the drive. Mark was always quick to communicate and responsive, appreciate it!
We had a great time at this house and property on our family vacation. There was plenty of room for the 14 of us and it was stocked well with kitchen items, towels, etc…The location was beautiful!
Beautiful house and had all the amenities needed. It was big enough for our family of 12.
We really enjoyed the property. The kids had lots of fun sledding down the hills in the property. Plenty of snow. Chose to stay home one whole day so the kids could have a blast.
This property is AMAZING! I can't recommend it enough. We wanted to have a small wedding and have a place for all of our friends and family to stay. The cabin fit more than enough people and it was incredibly cozy. Mark is a fantastic host and provided more than we could have asked for. He was so accommodating, attentive, and kind. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.
The cabin itself is absolutely gorgeous and well taken care of. The kitchen is well stocked and all the appliances work well. Even with 30 people and the cabin being solar-powered, there were never any issues with the electricity or hot water. We couldn't have asked for a better host or a better location for the weekend!
Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was equipped with everything you would need. There was nearby fishing and numerous hiking trails. The pool table was an extra bonus for family game night. Thank you for a great stay, Mark.
This VRBO gave my self, my family, and friends the most amazing weekend wedding getaway! Mark was great and communicative! We had the most amazing time.
Great place for 16 adults to congregate from all over & comfortably stay. Mark was a fantastic host & helped us with a few things while we were there. Just 45 minutes from the reservoir for boating. Fishing & hiking. Would definitely recommend for this sort of trip. Thanks!
An absolutely beautiful place with wonderful veiws! Awesome location, a large private property bordered by state lands so it's a lovely place to enjoy without intrusion or disturbance from anyone else! The owner is great to work with and we had a wonderful time here!
Perfect for a large family reunion. Beautiful views and plenty of room for games and just hanging out watching TV. We had a great time!! Mark was very helpful and an amazing host!
The house accomodated our family very well. We enjoyed our stay! On the second floor balcony the floor joists were out of the hangers leaving a weak place on the deck. It didn't create a problem for us but it could be a liability issue for the owner. A light above the stairway would be helpful.
Beautiful property, lots of room inside and out for together time and time alone. Three common areas in the lodge to spread out.
We did lots of hikes, many on property. Family loved fishing and playing in the stream. Many games provided too. Loved the hummingbirds around the deck!
Wonderful setting for our wedding.
There were some glitches with the property but Mark responded quickly and took care of the issue.
Over all a wonderful place to stay.
We loved the beautiful scenery everyday we were there.
The house worked perfectly for our large group. We all really enjoyed being able to stay under one roof and had a great time. Check in was easy and Mark was a great host. The main floor was a great gathering spot. We also enjoyed the beautiful view from the deck as we sipped our morning coffee.
Gorgeous mountain views! Plenty of beds and space for our family vacation. Peaceful, quiet, and room to spread out even though there were twenty-one people in our group. Already missing the hummingbirds, chipmunks, sounds of the river, hikes, and star gazing from the deck. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return!
Perfect place for a group trip. Plenty of space and supplies for an enjoyable and comfortable trip. House is solar powered, so give your group a heads up if they are using multiple big power pullers simultaneously. We loved the bottom floor for the kids because there is a pool table and lots of space. The kitchen was perfect to prepare and serve big meals. Host was very responsive and helpful.
If you are looking for a place to vacation to - you have found paradise.
The location is about 45 mins from Telluride but the drive to get there is absolutely breath taking. ITS A MUST.
Mark is wonderful. He was very communicative, and even let us get in a little earlier due to us arriving early. When we arrived he showed us everything we needed to know about the place and gave us a little tour. The house is pretty much fully stocked with everything you could possibly need during your stay.
There was so many nice tables and chairs for how many guests we had and the gas grill was perfect for us to grill out on. Of course the views were unbeatable but, Mark made sure the hummingbird feeders were constantly full and that alone was so fun to watch.
To say the least, our time was perfect. Mark, thank you for making our time with family that much more special and for sending the clothes I had of course forgotten during my stay. It was so appreciated.
An absolute wonderful house, view, and host.
