Description
Detached bungalow on 4000 m2 olive grove, with beautiful view over medieval village Dolceacqua with castle (Liguria / Imperia) and sea (10 km) in the maritime Alps. Situated on the flower Riviera near Ventimiglia & Bordighera, near San Remo and the Cote d'Azur: Menton, Monaco & Nice.

From 400,= per week all-in depending on number of people, duration and period/season.
Rental from 6 nights. Special rate for longer stays and/or outside the high season.

Location
On the flower Riviera of Liguria, Imperia, near the French border.
In the middle of nature and yet close to culture and water; usually a lot of peace and crickets. Busier in high season.
Sun terraces (with a lot of privacy), but also wonderful to relax in the shade of an olive, oleander or fig tree with usually a cooling sea breeze.

Approx. 2 km from the beautiful Dolceacqua (with medieval Borgo, Doria castle and bridge).

Wonderful walking and cycling in the hills and mountains (the Maritime Alps, nearby up to more than 2000 m high and only up to more than 1500 meters!). Beautiful new cycle path/running/walking path along the sea from Ventimiglia to Imperia.
1.5 hours drive from the ski area Limone, Piemonte (up to more than 3000 m).
Beautiful swimming river (Rocchetta Nervia, with rafting/canyoning rental) and sea nearby (including at Ventimiglia, Valecrosia, Bordighera and Camporosso Mare). Snorkeling at the red rocks of Balzi Rossi. Sandy beach at Menton.
Artists' village nearby, as well as "free state" Seborga.

Situated in the hills: less suitable for people with walking difficulties or small children who are just starting to walk (terraces and few/not everywhere fences).

2 km from Dolceacqua (4000 inhabitants with many shops (bakeries, organic, supermarkets, bars, ice cream shop, telephone shop, castle and restaurants, such as La Rampa and now also a takeaway pizzeria)
5 km swimming in clear mountain river (Rocchetta) with canyoning possibilities
10 km from Ventimiglia/Camporosso Mare (beach) and Bordighera
25 km from San Remo and Menton (beautiful old town with lovely sandy beach),
35 km from Monaco and
40 km from Nice or Imperia.
Ideal for hikers, racing cyclists and mountain bikers; many day trips/routes, mountain passes can be prepared from the cottage.
But certainly also for those seeking peace and quiet, nature, culinary and/or cultural enthusiasts and water lovers. Everything within easy reach. 20 minutes/15 km from the motorway (Bordighera or Ventimiglia exit).
Bus from Ventimiglia stops at the bottom of the hill.

Wide range of shops in Dolceacqua at 2 km. In Camporosso (7 km) large shops, including a large Lidl.
But also many nice boutiques and boulevards in Bordighera, Ventimiglia, San Remo, Imperia as well as in Menton, Monaco and Nice.

Accessibility
The house is located in the hills 2 km from Dolceacqua, 45 minutes from Nice airport where Transavia, Easyjet and KLM fly daily. Also accessible by train (Thalys and TGV) via Ventimiglia station and a bus.
By car in approx. 15 hours from NL. Ample parking on private property parking for several cars.

Description details
Fully furnished bungalow with spacious living & dining room, 2 bedrooms each with a double bed, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and bath. Third bedroom with bunk bed (1.85m) for extra child and (sofa) bed in the living room. Approx. 90 m2. Equipped with many conveniences: (new) washing machine, oven with grill, fridge with freezer compartment, 3-burner induction hob, coffee maker, kettle, new smart TV, DVD, stereo system with CDs and aux-in for telephone, garden furniture, outdoor loungers/chairs, toys, games, maps of the region, bed linen, towels, extensive crockery, kitchen utensils, etc. available. Also a hybrid bicycle (B1) with 24 gears with lock and an old mountain bike and racing bike available for shopping in the village or further up the hill and/or the mountains.

Open/closed fireplace and electric heating. Running drinking water from Dolceacqua. Recently fitted with a new roof and insulation.

No reception available, but remote assistance and (if necessary) via the neighbour. Final cleaning by neighbour for 35,=. No extra costs for bed linen, etc. No wifi, but very good 4G range (mobile hotspot available if necessary). Free wifi in the village café.

Time-share
We would also like to meet people who want to stay longer and/or come back regularly and, if possible, help with maintenance.

Locatie waar je tot rust kunt komen. En toch dichtbij dorpjes. Gedateerde inrichting. Kleine keuken en toilet. Geweldig uitzicht.
