Swimming pool, 9m x 4.5m, max depth 2.4m (private). Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced pond 20 yards away.. Enjoy the privtae covered outdoor swimming pool.. Situated in the grounds of the owners Grade II listed hall house which dates back to 1653, this detached cottage is elegantly furnished to a very good standard. Ulric the Thane was Lord of the manor in early Saxon times and Whittingham Hall was often visited by Prince Edward I. At one stage the land was used for racehorse training, some gallops remain intact. Whittingham Cottage enjoys complete privacy and a very pretty cottage garden with a terrace surrounded by roses. Ideal for sitting and enjoying a pleasant summers day or evening.

Lovely warm and cosy accommodation situated well off the beaten track but centrally placed to visit everywhere we wanted to go within 30-45 minutes. Went to Dunwich Heath, Aldeburgh, Flatford Mill, Southwold, Lavenham, Sutton Hoo, Saxmunden, Lowestoft, Thetford Forest and also enjoyed just walking to Fressingfield. We had a wonderful mid-week break at the Cottage.

The cottage was well equipped and the location was ideal - quiet countryside walks and the village a short drive away has a good restaurant and mini-market.
