DESCRIPTION:
Whether looking for a restful retreat or hoping to visit one of the many nearby locations, this home is a peaceful and quiet location to settle in for a comfy night’s sleep. Plan to spend the evenings on the outdoor seating by the koi pond, listening to the frogs, and watching the sunsets. If you come in the spring, you will also hear the spring peepers (frogs) singing their mating calls at night. You can see deer out on what we lovingly call "the back 40"; they love to come out and eat the fresh grass looking for nuts from the chestnut trees.
This refurbished mother-in-law apartment has a spacious living room, a beautiful curb-less tile shower with fold-down teak bench, a kitchenette with microwave and 2-burner stove-top, and a peaceful outdoor space. The outdoor space is shared with the homeowners; no worries, they roll up the sidewalks by 8 pm each night and you’ll have the porch to yourselves.
There is a 55-inch Roku TV in the living room and free wi-fi for your other devices. The door has a deadbolt and you have an access code that is valid throughout the duration of your visit. Check-in is contactless; you will be texted the door code for your visit.
Private, off-street parking for two cars is behind the house. Pull past the house and park in the area on the stones. Your private entry is on the back porch.
Local attractions include a local drive-in theater, Haar’s, (5 mins.), a state park (10 mins.), Hershey Park and ZooAmerica (40 mins.), skiing or paintball at Ski Roundtop (10 mins.), weekly sprint car races at Williams Grove Speedway (13 mins.), car shows at Carlisle Fairgrounds (28 mins.), pick your own fruit at Mt.
