"Leider war das Hotel geschlossen. Über eine Sprechanlage teilte man uns mit, dass der Eigentümer das Hotel zum Jahreswechsel als geschlossen gemeldet hat. Dann wäre er bereit gewesen, uns ein Zimmer zu geben, jedoch in einem leeren Hotel und ohne Frühstück. Nach kurzem Warten haben wir uns entschlossen, eine andere Unterkunft für die Silvesternacht zu suchen. Was natürlich um 18.30 Uhr nicht so leicht war."

"We thought we were going to stay in Losheim, but instead, our FeWo was in Scheiden, a town 5 km. away. Once we got used to having to drive to Losheim for our groceries, it was OK. The apartment was spacious and we were quite comfortable there. The area was very rural, with bike and walking paths throughout. One could actually see the night sky from the bathroom skylight! It was easy to get to neighboring towns, such as Mettlach and Trier, from where we were. Our hosts were friendly and helpful."

"Na zoveel positieve reviews waren wij erg benieuwt naar dit huis in het voor ons nog onbekende Saarland/Duitsland. Bij aankomst werden we heel hartelijk ontvangen door de gastheer en gastvrouw. Zij wonen aan de voorkant waar meer dan voldoende parkeerplek is. Via een kort steil paadje kwamen we bij het vakantie verblijf aan de achterzijde.
