Father and I spend our bi-annual fishing trips down in the area. This place is definitely a bit more cleaner than most places we have stayed at. We don’t need too much as we’re used to roughing it from our Army days. The place was spacious for sure. AC worked fine and the view from the balcony is great! The bunk beds are in a small room connected to the master bedroom itself. We didn’t have a problem with it. The linens and towels were clean as well. We’ve been to rentals where they were never washed and pillow cases smelled like dried saliva. This place definitely had clean smelling linens. Some outdated pots, and pans, and utensils. But again we didn’t find it a problem. We used what was available. Patrick answered all questions and concerns we may have had. Communication was never an issue. He even came by to move the trash bin out to the front for collection. Fishing from the pier is the big plus for us. The green pier light came in handy. Timer had to be reset, but wasn’t a big inconvenience. I believe we we probably were there when the fishing wasn’t as active. We caught a few drums, croakers, whitings, catfish, piggy perch, and even an eel. But the highlight was the alligator gar.
The location is great. Nearby restaurants, dollar general, and gas stations for the things you may need. Bait shops are about 10-15 minutes out, but not an inconvenience. Would stay here again. Thanks Patrick!
