"If peace and serenity are what you are looking for, Barefoot Cay Resort is ideal. As a boutique resort with a limited number of accommodations you can easily avoid the crowds. Although there were a few other guests, my wife and I felt like we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed sitting on the beach and snorkeling off the pavilion with no distractions. "Best beach by far. Location pretty isolated from the party scene downtown which is perfect if looking for relaxing time. Property is very well kept and staff is attentive. Three places to eat were typical fare and priced fine. Villa's are hit and miss due to age and up keep. Overall would stay again as it was such an amazing property. You do need a car or prepare to hire driver/taxi...nothing within walking distance, extreme hills on road in/out."

"We spent a week in the Sunset View 2. It was unseasonably rainy but the big balcony looking right at the sea framed by swaying palms made it hard to leave to go do other things in Roatan.
