Was an overall ok place to stay ...little small for 10 adults ...main problem with this place was oven/stove did not work ...we all bring a food for am n pm and our meal for 1st night ( tator tot hotdish) took 3 hours to cook ...also futons in front room do not make into a bed and seriosly need new padding ...was old house but ok
though it was a bit "rustic", it was just what we wanted. out away from town, easy access, lots of outdoor room. it is an old farm house so we did not expect anything different than what it was.
The property was just what we expected I just wished the grass would have been mowed to help with the bugs which are extremely bad this year everywhere. the kitchen and dining was good, we brought a lot of our own utensils just because you never know. The upstairs is a little warm which is normal I just wish the outlets had three prong so we could of used cords to move fans around outlets are in short supply in old houses but we managed. It rained the last night we were there and a small drip started on the couch agaist the west wall we put a pan under it but didn't amount to anything. We are all country farm boys so this was a very nice place off the beaten path but close to two nice boat landings. I will stay again if available my next trip to Devils Lake.
It is as listed. It's an older farmhouse. We didn't expect perfection and it wasn't but it certainly fit all of our needs and there was plenty of room for us. Nice quiet setting outside of town but close to our destination for fishing. Easy commute to what we needed. Owner was excellent to communicate with. We will certainly look to stay there again if we return to the area.
The house was dirty when we arrived, and smelled musty. We made the best of it in our 3 night stay, but we will not return to this property in the future.

Enjoyed our stay. Steep stairs and too narrow to walk easily to second floor bedrooms. Centrally located for fishing area
Had a good stay. Facilities where as described. Not fancy by any means but cozy, warm, and dry. Couple side notes, take 72nd off of Hwy 19 to get there, don't follow GPS directions which take you the scenic out of the way route. Also beware of the hole in the ground near on the front side (old well), not marked or covered up, easy to trip.
