"Fantastic hotel set in an 800 year old castle. Stunning building, rooms beautifully furnished with all amenities, delightful castle grounds, magnificent setting for the restaurant with quality food. Breakfast excellent too. Difficulty with room keys on arrival and had to return to reception for replacements. On entering room discovered that room was not as originally booked on hotels.com website. After again returning to reception and lengthy dialogue with staff that our room was incorrect the problem was finally sorted. Not the best arrival at a hotel !! Wellness centre was superb and the young man running the centre provided a great service with total professionalism and a smiling face. Would definitely return. Outstanding hotel."

"Truly exceptional property in the town center. Our room overlooking the fountain was spacious and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. Staff were gracious and made us welcome. We are far from athletes but managed stairs to first floor with no trouble."

"Unfortunately the stay was way worse than expected. Of course, no one expects the decorative pillows to be super clean, but white stains?! Waiters, lady at the bar and a receptionist expecting a baby are super friendly. Rest of the personnel were not really glad to visitors. The toilet seat was not even assembled properly and it was detached from the floor. The soap dispenser had hair of a person who shaved there ages before. Bar furniture has holes all over. It's a pity to spend hours driving and pay quite a price and get this level of service. Hotel was renovated with EU funding, but it seems that large amount of money went to a wrong pocket."

"By the looks of the hotel online it’s very elegant. But it’s much dirtier, smells like cigarettes, and room is tiny. A lot of noise outside due to poor insulation. The restaurant was good though with good prices. I guess you get what you pay for. It worked ok for me but I wouldn’t stay here again."
