This place was ok. Not good or great, but ok. The room was spartan, and might’ve been clean. It needs an update. I chose to cancel my reservation for the return part of our trip because the woman at the desk wasn’t willing to work with me on a late check out. Then she was rude about it when I agreed to her terms. So I found somewhere else to stay.

My husband and I come to Detroit frequently for business, and typically stay 2 days. We have stayed in every hotel surrounding the airport and since we're out of the room all day, and only sleep in the hotel, we're always looking for something safe, yet clean and comfortable. We stayed at Americas Best Value Inn - Romulus the weekend of 1/17/25 to 1/19/25, and let me say that I was pleasantly surprised! The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was extremely thick and comfy, the TV was large, the mini fridge actually got cold and it was clean! The parking was right outside the door which is a plus when you get back late, and its cold and you have food or bags. We were able to auto start the car in the mornings, and keep an eye on it. I really wish I had found this place earlier, it would have saved a lot of disappointment with other hotels. My husband and I both agreed that this is were we will stay anytime we come back for a short trip. good price, and a great, clean cozy room. I would definitely recommend! Also, the young registration agent who had just started there was so sweet.

Upon arrival at the airport, we arrived around midnight and were pleased to find hotel shuttle runs 24 hours. Reception at the hotel were friendly and efficient. Room was clean and just what we needed for a good rest before an early flight in the morning.

We always stay here for the convenience of shuttle and parking to the airport. The last two times we have stayed however the room bedding was not very clean. You can tell there are people who are living full time in the hotel as well. Our last experience we checked in and 10 minutes later found out our flight was cancelled so we were going back home and the hotel wouldn't give us a refund.

The thing I like was the transportation was easy and safe from the airport to the hotel. I thing I dislike were that there was no wifi in the rooms, and it was cold even after turning of the air conditioning.
