"Quiet little bungalows with aircon, confortable beds and private bathroom. There are tables and seats on the terrasse in front of each room, very nice for lunch outside. The room was basic but quite spacious and had everything we needed as we stay 3 nights to visit Puy du Fou (5 min by car). "we loved the area with an easy access to the beach. The city is also near by so you can chose your daily activities within a reach. Unfortunately, there is no AC in the rooms so we slept with the windows open and was woken up daily between 4.30am and 6am by the staff pushing laundry trolleys outside. The reception hasn't offer a solution i.e. changing the room. If I come back to this hotel, I will make sure they allocate the room on the highest floor. "

"We have been 'Chateau' travelers for 42 years. I cannot count the number of establishments visited. Ch Goujonnerie is 'THE' most charming Chateau we have had the priviledge to stay. It was exceptionally difficult to say goodbye after 5 nights. Isabella, Natalie AND Stephen and Michel were the most charming hosts. We will never forget their care to guests. We look forward to returning again and is a great place for a base camp if you want to visit La Rochell or Il de Re or so many other places...

The room was small with bed against the wall so accessible from one side only. The bed itself was comfortable.
