"Excellent stay. This is a family run hotel so very unofficial and welcoming making solo impromptu travel much easier when any reservation changes occur. As a solo traveler I felt extremely safe staying there and felt more like home than a hotel. One of the owners was also immensely helpful towards helping me arrange last minute tours I wanted to do and really made my stay in Banos exceptional. "Convenient location and friendly, accommodating staff. Somewhat dated but very clean. Hot water was plentiful. Chilly climate but plenty of blankets were provided. Breakfast was hot and delicious and filling. There was a tank of drinking water in the lobby. Free use of bath towels to visit the hot springs!"

"I understand the country has blackouts, but the hotel doesn't have a backup power generator; not even for the reception; therefore, there is no lights for the Wi-Fi. The hotel obtains the water from the water well by pump; therefore, because there is no power, there is no water for the toilets, showers, etc. The hydromassage pool water was cold."
