"Great hotel. Staff were nice, even lent us umbrellas before a typhoon. Loads of local food around and easy walking to the heart of Taitung. Also, super close to the sea with bike rentals to explore the park along the ocean. Best place we could chosen for our trip. Only “interesting” thing was the “Western” breakfast. "This property was not as we imagined. There were no windows and it was quite stuffy. The bathroom was very old. The bathing towels were disposable towels. I could hear the people in the next room speaking and their dog barking (there were a lot of fireworks going off). The door had a good lock bolt, but anyone could enter the building from the street.
