"The hotel is in a great location, central to many restaurants in Clarke Quay and a short walk to Chinatown. The MRT train is underneath the Clarke Quay Central shopping centre across the road which makes it super convenient to get around Singapore. It's worth paying the extra for breakfast everyday, there is a lot of variety and good quality food to eat. My only criticisms are: 1. Don't advertise and charge a higher rate for a room with a balcony knowing full well Singapore Government law states...

"The Village Hotel, is within easy reach of the Airport, about 20 mins taxi ride, or the courtesy shuttle, but it could be in a different country as it feels more like you have stepped back into Singapore of the 1950s or 60s. This is a calmer more relaxed view of Singapore with one of the most authentic 'Hawker' centres to be be found in Singapore. The hotel has everything you need if you want to stay in the hotel, but the hustle & bustle is only a taxi ride away."
