"The location is wonderful with game regularly visiting the river from the Kruger opposite. When we arrived, about a dozen elephant were wading across and hippo were wallowing. The rooms each have their own private terraces where fires are lit each night, and open up into a lovely common area where birds and the 3 incumbent nyala are encouraged. "I stayed one night right before going into KNP. From start to finish Bernadette made me feel welcome a d was extremely friendly. I did receive a room upgrade and wow! The room was fantastic. Extremely high ceiling and fantastic backyard view. Though once twilight hits there isn't much sunlight so not much view can be seen. There is a restaurant nearby so you do not have to use the kitchens if you don't cook yourself. Also, ifyou would love to make the host happy please ask her about the lounge...
